I agree, this is a lot of codes. I would tend to think this would be electrical, perhaps computer are a loose connection? These trannys I have rebuilt so far usually have a couple of codes related to the problem but not this many - all over the place.

Make sure you have the proper amount of tranny fluild in it and get that Valvoline fluid out of it. Allison transmissons have there own type of tranny fluid and you want to use it. You can buy the right stuff from a Allison dealer. Most Detroit Diesel dealers are also Allison dealers. Look them up in your phone book and they will tell you the quanity and sell you five gallon pails of the fluid. Just get the serial number off of the side of the transmisson before you call. Change the fliters again too. Believe me, this is important. My company has Yard horses with Allison transmissions and you don't want to screw with the small stuff. Service them right and they work as hard as you want.

I have a 2002 yukon xl 1500 slt 5.3.I'm having problems with my abs control module and also a code of p1810.Do u have any suggestions as to what I can do?Help I'm low on cash

Melisssketer,
The P 1810 code is usually the transmission, here are some possible causes;
- Faulty automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure (TFP) Manual Valve Position Switch
- TFP Valve Position Switch harness is open or shorted
- TFP Valve Position Switch circuit poor electrical connection
The automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure (TFP) manual valve position switch consists of five pressure switches (two normally-closed and three normally-open) and a Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor combined into one unit. The combined unit mounts on the valve body. You could have a problem with any one of these switches. If this is the problem with your car, parts will not be cheap but it can be done without pulling the transmission. I hope this helps, Ray

Transmission pressure switch manifold fault explanation p1810

Hi there:
The automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure (TFP) manual valve position switch consists of five pressure switches (two normally-closed and three normally-open), and a transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor combined into one unit. The combined unit mounts on the valve body.
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) supplies ignition voltage for each range signal. By grounding one or more of these circuits through various combinations of the pressure switches, the PCM detects which manual valve position you select. The PCM compares the actual voltage combination of the switches to a TFP manual valve position switch combination chart stored in memory.

The TFP manual valve position switch cannot distinguish between PARK and NEUTRAL because the monitored valve body pressures are identical. With the engine OFF and the ignition switch in the ON position, the TFP manual valve position switch indicates PARK/NEUTRAL. Disconnecting the AT inline 20-way connector removes the ground potential for the three range signals to the PCM. In this case, with the engine OFF, and the ignition switch in the ON position, D2 will be indicated.

When the PCM detects an invalid state of the TFP manual valve position switch circuit by deciphering the TFP manual valve position switch inputs, then DTC P1810 sets.Action Taken When the DTC SetsThe PCM illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) during the second consecutive trip in, which the Conditions for Setting the DTC are met.The PCM commands D2 line pressure. The PCM commands a D4 shift pattern. The PCM freezes transmission adapt functions. The PCM records the operating conditions when the Conditions for Setting the DTC are met. The PCM stores this information as Freeze Frame and Failure Records. The PCM stores DTC P1810 in PCM history during the second consecutive trip in, which the Conditions for Setting the DTC are met.Since the computer does not know what gear range the transmission is shifted into, it defaults to a higher line pressure to protect the transmission. It also commands the transmission as if it were in the D4 position. The transmission will still shift normally through all the gears, shifts may be more firm than normal. No damage will occur to the transmission if driven even for prolonged periods with this dtc set. It is far more likely that the loss of transmission fluid damaged the transmission.

Hope helps.

Fault code po 736 reverse incorect ratio 1996 dodge caravan

DTC P0736 - Reverse incorrect gear ratio

The clutch pressure control (PC) solenoid 2 flows fluid to the 3-5-R clutch when commanded OFF and exhausts fluid when commanded ON. The clutch PC solenoid 2 regulates the transmission fluid pressure to the 3-5-R clutch. The transmission fluid pressure (TFP) switch 1 Opens (High) under fluid pressure and closes (Low) when no pressure is present. The transmission control module (TCM) calculates gear ratio based on data from the automatic transmission input speed sensor (ISS) and the output speed sensor (OSS). The TCM compares the known transmission gear ratio to a calculated gear ratio for each commanded gear.

Circuit/System Verification:
Operate the vehicle to induce a shift from second to third gear while observing TFP Switch 1. Perform this action 2 times. The TFP Switch 1 should change states from Low to High. If the TFP Switch does not change states and no other DTCs set, replace the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly. If any other DTCs set, diagnose that DTC first.
Operate the vehicle to obtain sixth gear 2 times and then check for DTCs other than DTC P0736.If any other DTCs set, diagnose that DTC first. If no other DTC sets, continue on with diagnostics.
Operate the vehicle by shifting from Park to Reverse, then while in reverse, operate the vehicle with the calculated throttle position greater than 8% for 5 seconds, perform this maneuver a minimum of 3 times. If the DTC P0736 resets, go to Component Testing.

Component Testing:
Perform the line test procedure.
Inspect the check ball 5 for possible sticking or damage. If you found a concern with this check ball, repair the concern.
Inspect the shift select valve 3 for sticking or damage. If you found a concern with the shift select valve 3, repair or replace the valve or valve body.
Inspect the R-1 (Low and Reverse clutch) assembly for wear or damage. If you found a R-1 assembly concern, repair or replace the R-1 assembly as necessary.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
