Question about 2002 Ford F150 Regular Cab
I have a similar problem in my truck, same make and model. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that the Theft Deterrent Module needs to be reprogrammed by the Ford dealer. I think he said it was part of the Body Control Module - GEM.
I'm going to see what that costs today and if the price is unreasonable I'm going to see if connecting the positive and negative terminals together for 20-30 minutes will fix the problem. It might fix it, it might total it, it might do nothing; I'll post back what happens. If anybody thinks this is a bad idea, please speak up, I'm totally open to suggestions.
