From the symptoms it sounds like one belt supplies the drive for all 3 units (power steering pump, alternator and water pump)
If you replace this belt (could be called power steering belt or alternator belt) then all should be fixed as long as engine did not overheat too much!

Battery light and abs light on hard to steer overheating

sounds like you either lost your fan belt, or you have a seized up alternator, or belt tensioner. The fan belt [ drive belt ] turns the alternator to charge the battery, the power steering pump to make easy steering , and the water pump cooling your engine. Do you smell rubber burning? hear a squealing noise? or rattling noise. Open your engine bonnet, start the car up, and look at the drive belt and pulleys. They should all be turning. If this is the problem you will see something seized up. Also if you have let the power steering pump run out of oil, it may also be seized. Good luck with it

Battery and break indicator showed up and power steering went out all at the same time

Are you sure the drive belt is still on the engine ?
The battery light usually comes on when the alternator is not charging the battery, and the power steering is also belt driven.
The brake warning light can come on when the brake fluid is low, but also when the battery light comes on.

While driving this afternoon, my 2001 C-320 displayed that my battery/alternator needed immediate repair (or something to this effect). Within minutes, it started to overheat, reaching 120 degrees Celcius...

You need to get the belt back on. You can't drive the car without it. Also you need to find out if the belt was just old and broke or if a part went bad, like an idler pulley or a tensioner , and replace it as well so the new belt will stay on.

I was driving my 1999 Saab 9-5 today, it was raining, right after going through a puddle, my power steering stopped working, the battery light came on, so I pulled into a gas station, turned the engine...

LOL, nooooooo. You didn't hurt anything. In fact, you identified a problem by going through that puddle. You need a new serpentine belt and/or tensioner pulley. It sounds like the spring in your tensioner pulley may be worn, and not pulling your serpentine belt tight enough. Now, THAT being said, there MAY be yet another issue going on. While I don't doubt for a minute that you need 1) a new serp. belt, 2) a new tensioner pulley, and 3) a can of belt dressing, you may also want to check (while the old serp belt is off during the changing) that all your pulleys are spinning freely. Especially your AC compressor pulley. If your AC is low on refridgerant, it can lock up the pulley. The serp belt drives your power steering pump, your alternator, your AC pump, water pump, etc. If one pulley siezes up, the tensioner is weak, and the belt gets wet, NOTHING will turn. Hence the dead battery (alternator not turning), no power steering (pump not turning), and more importantly no coolant circulation (water pump not turning), which can cause serious overheating problems.

Power steering went out while driving and battery

If the belt gets wet and flies off, or starts to slip, the power steering and alternator will stop spinning causing this condition.

Check belts to see if they are still on the truck and spinning the pulleys of the alternator and power steering pump.

The battery light went on but the battery is less than 2 year old and now the power steering fluid light is on..the steering wheel made a noise when i turned it.

check belt may be worn or loose -check power steering fluid level if low will cause binding and can cause belt to slip if alternator going bad can cause same or idler[tension] pulley going can cause slippage but most likely belt is worn and needs replacement

Engine overheated and steering went very heavy. Got it towed home. Any ideas what might be wrong with it.

The water pump may be going out, most likely locking up,and causing the steering pump to be hard to turn, because the belt is not turning it,check to see if the belt is still on the power steering, and water pump.

Power steering went out while driving and the battery light went on, but then went off again. I parked it (with struggle) in a parking lot. Can I drive it again before getting it looked at, if it starts?

very much sounds like a belt ,and that was the alternator light whether the same beltdrives them both or it was stalled with abit of the belt that was breaking up ,who knows ?i wouldn`t recommend you drive it dependant on the type of power steering it is ,some serious damage could result ,that would be a lot more to fix than the cost of a tow .
