Question about 1991 Toyota MR2

I have no pressure in my back brakes.. I just noticed there are two resivors for break fluid... why is this?

One resivor for the front and one for the back. You may have a blockage in the line or a bad master cylinder.

maybe need new brakes, but I'm almost positive you need to bleed your breaks its a two man operation have someone pump brake pedal 3 times have someone loosen the bleeder then tighten it, again pump break, repeat untill all done make sure to take the cap off of the brake fluid resivor while doing this and to have plenty of fluid in it.

The parking break light wont turn off.

Check the Brake Fluid Resivor level, if its low this can cause that light to come on. If the level is ok, try unplugging the connector on the brake fluid reisvior.

The only way that the fluid would get out is if the cups are bad in the brake cylinder or the adjuster on the break shoes has locked up and fallen off. You would hear a grinding noise if that happens. Also look at your break fluid resivor to see if it's low in the small side that will tell you if it has been leaking.

In order to do this. Jack up the car on tire at a time. Look underneath the car and you should see a bleeder valve. Attach a hose to the valve, then run the valve into a jar filled with brake fluid. Have some apply pressure to the brake pedal. Open the valve insuring the hose is in the brake fluid. Do Each wheel on wheel at a time. Refill the brake resivor each time After bleeindg all brakes refill resivor. .

Compress rear brake caliper on 1996 nissan maxima

Compressing Rear CalipersIf you open the "bleeder valve" you'll need to bleed the air from your break system. As your breaks wear down, the level in yor break resivor will drop. what works for me is the following: Remove the cap on your resivor and place some shop raggs around the base. With a large "C" clamp push the piston back/into the break caliper (slowly) when the piston is all the in your resivor level will come up. When you complete both sides, you resivor should be near the corect level. Remember that when you put it all back together, your break pedal will go to the floor. Do this a few of times and your break pedal will tighen up. Now you should check the level in the resivor.

well its either one of two things,either its the low tires pressure warning light,which i would set all tire pressure to correct pressure and see if it goes off,and the second is the low brake fluid light,,check the resivor and top off if needed,sometimes when the brake pads are low the resivor gets lower and sets the light,,check the front and rear pads if low replace them and then check level

The parking brake light for my 2002 pontiac grand prix comes on and off at will. I applied the parking brake and release it stays on and the goes off and comes back on its confusing to me

Make sure you have the proper amount of break fluid in the resivor. the next time it comes on, pop the hood and unplug the connector that is going to the brake master cylinder, see if it goes out.
Report back if the light stays on. If it goes out then the fluid level sensor is bad. You can replace just the sensor, you do not need to replace the whole resivor.

I can't get back brakes on a 1995 Monte Carlo. I replaced the brake pads all around and put new line on the back. It had good brakes on the back when I started.

Have some one pump the break up and hold the peddle doun to the floor and take back break line loose and see if you are getting fluid to the back. if not you need to check lines for bends and clogs. And check the resivor for clogs and fluid. If you are then change the break cylinder It has gone bad.
