K1500 transfer case switch

some of those are vacuum controlled the most common place for them to break is just behind the engine at the intake passenger side check there first. another thing that comes to mind would be the 4x4 accuator located on the front of the front axcel is simply removed by unplugging it and unscrewing it counter clock wise.

03 yukon not staying engaged in selected range push button

possible 4wd selector switch problem. 1st try unhooking battery for 10 min, then rehook and start engine, attempt shifting into 4wd and see if it clears up. could be multiple different things causing this, as the 4wd system is computer controlled, and electronically engaged.

2002 GMC Z71 WHEN PUTTING INTO 4WD YOU CAN HEAR TRANSFER CASE LOCKING BUT FRONT TIRES WILL NOT TURN.

Hello tmaxx31190
Start by checking fuse #7 a 15amp fuse in the fuse block under the left side of the dash. This fuse is for the accuator motor on top of the left front axel tube. The accuator moter engages and
disengages the front axel for 4wd and 2wd. If the fuse is good, have someone operate the switch
and check to see if the accuator is working, you should be able to hear it engage or disengage.
If it's not working check the connections and for power at the accuator before possibly changing it.
If the accuator is working, it could be a problem with the shift fork inside the differential. Also, have
someone start the truck and engage the 4x4 then look to be sure the output shaft from transfer case to the front axel is turning. The safest way to do this is to have all 4 wheels up on jack stands.
Hope this is helpful.

IT WILL NOT GO INTO 4WD WHAT COULD THIS BE 4WD LIGHT NOT COMING ON

Sounds like the accuator valve is not working or there is no vacum going to it.Check on the firewall under hood, there is a small round black disc[looks like a bowl] with a vaccum line on one end and a cable on the other. start blazer and pull it into 4wd and see if the (bowl) accuator moves(compresses). if it dosent then check for vaccum. If it does you probably need a cable to front differential. hope I helped

I have an '02 gmc yukon, stuck in 4 low.

Check for a blown fuse. use your manual to find fuse location. you can remove the shift motor and engage it manually, you need to remove front driveshaft.
