Question about Saturn SL2
My '95 Saturn. bought new, delayed when shifted into reverse, then engaged with a thump.
It wasn't long after that it failed completely which cost over $3,000 to rebuild at a reputable but non-dealer shop. I saw the removed parts and although I had driven that car more mildly than any other I have ever owned, the clutch material in the much bragged-about transmission was burned.
After replacing the undersized, hot-running alternator SIX (6) times, the engine dropped a rod cap when starting and self-destructed at 57,600 nerve-wracking miles.
Mercifully I don't have that lemon any more.
I will never buy another GM anything.
