A few possibilities, either the window regulator has broken, or the bracket that holds the glass at the bottom has come loose from the glass. The bracket can pull off the glass, especially with power windows when you're trying to lower the window and it is stuck from freezing or old glass runs that are trapping the window from moving.
re-installing the bracket to the glass is often tricky, and it is easy to shatter the glass. Often best left for a car repair shop or an automotive glass shop to repair.
You will need to remove the door panel to inspect for what the issue is, and then repair it accordingly.

I suspect you mean the glass runs that get all deformed at the top rear corner and front corner by the mirror?
Open the door and lower the glass all the way.
Grab the rubber at the top center of the door frame and dig it out of the channel with your finger nails. Once you have a bite, pull it off to the corners, then at the front and rear corners pull upwards to pull the rest of the run out of the rail.
To install, it helps to lubricate the back edge of the new glass runs with silicon spray or similar. Place it into the rail and grabbing a fistful near the top push doward with firm force to slide the rubber down into the rail. It will get more difficult once you reach the glass. If you get to a point where you can not get it to down any further yet you have further to go, run the window up partially, then while pushing down on the down window switch, force the rubber to slide with the window. The glass will help carry the run the rest of the way down. When you get the front and rear to the correct heights so the corner line up, peel the tape off the front corner by the mirror and stick the run full into the rail at the mirror and the rest of the way over the door to the rear corner If it is a little short you can tug on it to get a little slack.
Window Regulator, Front Door, Explorer
Removal WARNING: IF THE REGULATOR COUNTERBALANCE SPRING MUST BE REMOVED OR REPLACED FOR ANY REASON, MAKE SURE THAT THE REGULATOR ARMS ARE IN A FIXED POSITION PRIOR TO REMOVAL TO PREVENT POSSIBLE INJURY DURING C-SPRING UNWIND.
Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield . Refer to Section 01-05B .
Remove inside door belt weatherstrip and glass stabilizer.
Remove front door window glass as described in this section.
Remove two nut and washer assemblies attaching the equalizer bracket.
Remove three rivets (manual) or four rivets (power) attaching the regulator base plate to front door trim panel finish panel (23712) .
Remove window regulator electric drive and front door window channel bracket from vehicle.
Working on a bench, carefully bend tab flat to remove arm slides from front door window channel bracket .
Install new window regulator electric drive arm plastic guides into front door window channel bracket and bend tab back to 90 degrees.
Use care not to break tab; if tab is cracked or broken, replace front door window channel bracket . Make sure rubber bumper is installed properly on new front door window channel bracket , if replacement is made.
Installation NOTE: The front door window channel bracket and window regulator electric drive are installed into the vehicle as one assembly. The front door window channel bracket may be disassembled from the window regulator electric drive as described in Steps 7 and 8 of Window Regulator, Removal.
Install front door trim panel finish panel with preassembled glass bracket into vehicle. Set the regulator base plate to window regulator electric drive using base plate locator tab as a guide.
Install three (manual) or four (power) rivets (385189-S100) to attach regulator to front door trim panel finish panel .
Two 1/4-20 x 1-inch bolts and two 1/4-20 nut and washer assemblies may be used as alternates for glass retention. However, torque must not exceed 4-7 Nm (3-5 ft-lb). Equivalent metric retainers may be used.
Install equalizer bracket.
Install inside door belt weatherstrip and glass stabilizer.
Lower regulator arms to access holes in front door trim panel finish panel . Install front door window glass as outlined.
Adjust glass to ensure proper alignment with glass run. Cycle glass for smooth operation.
Install front door trim panel and front door trim shield . Refer to Section 01-05B .
Remove Door Inside Handle: remove screw, slide the handle forward. Disconnect the control link and remove the handle.
Remove Door Trim with Inner WeatherStrip: Remove the two screws from the armrest. Insert a screwdriver between the trim retainers and the door panel to pry it loose. Eight hidden fasteners. 1 top left side of door. 1 right side about same height as top of armrest. 1 (each side) about same height as bottom of armrest. 1 on each corner bottom. 1 bottom in middle. 1 on left side between bottom corner and the previous at about lower armrest height...
Remove Service Hole cover. Remove Door Glass Run.
Remove Division Bar (upper window section divider): Remove the two screws under the weatherstrip Remove the bolt. Pull out the division bar.
Remove the Window Glass: Place the glass in the door cavity. Remove the two glass channel mounting bolts. Remove the window glass by pulling it upwards.
You now have access to the Power Window Regulator; possible replacement of motor etc.
