You put the snow chains on the front tires if you have a front or all wheel drive vehicle, and on rear wheels for rear wheel drive vehicles. Try to get them as tight as you can and don't go over 30 MPH.

How do i put on snow chains on my 1995 dodge intrepid and how should they fit?

Park the car on a flat surface, free of traffic put the chains around the tire with the hooks at the front. Back up the vehicle a quarter a tire turn and stop and do up inside hook first, then outside. Remember chains wear out so only use them in the worst of conditions, but they do enhance your traction by 500%

Can i put snow chains on a 2003 yukon denali xl? tire size 275 70 17

If its legal in your state. Chains are usually fround upon the car/truck corporations in using on your vehicle when its under their warranty. I would use them only when I had to. First I would install a set and make sure they fit correctly. If too loose they can slap the vehicles body which would knarl up the paint work really good

Whats Best axles to put snow chains on?

The best option when putting snow chains on a 4WD is to put them on both the front and rear tires. This will give you good lateral stability, good acceleration, good steering, and superb braking.

Given the choice of only one set of chains I would put them on the rear. This will give you good acceleration but only marginal steering and braking.

If you chose the front wheels you'd get good braking, good steering, and good acceleration but if you don't feather the brakes the rear may easily swing around on you.

On what tires do you put chains for an all-wheel

I would say the front , IF I was putting chains on. Not that I EVER would , I live in Canada , and we get lots of snow here. I have NEVER seen a car with chains on. (not even those useless cable chains) Winter tires , or Good all seasons are a far better solution.

Tire chains

Either type depending on how bad the snow is and how far your going. the more severe the conditions and the farther you go use chains. Light conditions and short time use cables can be used. Only put them on the drive wheels. Good luck. Please rate me so I know if I helped. Thanks.

must put chains (if you really need them) on all 4 wheels of your all wheel drive car to prevent a speed mis-match between front and rear...a mis-match can destroy the gearboxes over prolonged use. use chains that have many cross links to lessen the effect of any speed mis-match
