Hi, I do not have a manual for your car, but the basic idea is shown in the diagram below. You disconnect both hoses from the heater core and remove one of them completely. Then you loop the remaining hose back to where you took off the other one. Please let me know if you have questions and thanks for using FixYa.

Pull the hoses off the heater core and connect then together. You will need a piece of pipe and some hose clamps to make a connector

Would bypassing the heater core pose any problems to my engine?

No. You eventually will need the heat to defrost and de ice the windshield though.

I would like to see what under the hood looks like and where the Bypass hose is and the upper hose

Which engine ?
The upper radiator hose would go to the radiator. You have hoses going to the heater core too.

I have a 1991 buick regal and when i turn the heat on only cool air blows out. it doesnt leak on floor either as if heater core was out. what should i do

Check that the heater core is not plugged by feeling the 2 heater hoses going into the firewall. If they both get hot, then the heater core is not at fault.

If they are cool, then the heater core is plugged then the heater core will have to be replaced.

Can the engine damage If I bypass the core heater permanent?

You can bypass the core without damage as long as you don't cut off the flow of coolant through where the heater core was.

I can smell anti-freeze when my heater is on

inside the car?

you possibly have a heater core leak....is the pass. floor mat wet or damp....most times when a heater core is leaking, you can actually taste it in the air....it's actually sweet.

have it fixed, or bypass the core itself if it gets really bad.

hope this helps...
