Try a little taller tire instead. Blocking the suspension certainly isn't going to improve the way it goes down the road, and it may cause early failure of suspension components, uneven tire wear, poor handling.. long list.

My 2003 cadillac cts was stuck in park and abs brake and traction lights are on replaced shifter wire car is not in park anymore but abs brake and traction light is still on. Also, resurfaced rotars and...

Low brake fluid level could cause that. Bad ABS wheel sensor. Brake switch. Go to Autozone and ask them to put the scanner on and see what codes you're getting.

My car is a 2003 cadillac cts. the car overheated and drove for 2 blocks and parked, it runs but it needs to be fixed. what needs to be fixed/replaced?

make sure you have antifreeze in it start the car and see if its leaking out of the block...if so it soounds like a head gasket job ....if not it could be a water pump seal ....or a stuck close thermastat .....if your radiator is leaking from the front of the vehicle this would be the cheapest an easiest fix

When I park my 2005 explorer on an incline with the front end facing up hill, It is very difficult to get it into gear after starting. I have to rock the vehicle while my wife shift it into gear. Is this...

That is normal. You need to apply the parking brake to prevent this from happening. In Park, the tranny is engaged with the flywheel. The starter also engages the flywheel when you start the car. The flywheel has teeth on it, as does the tranny & starter. These teeth are getting bent from the pressure between them. A new flywheel is a big job. I would do your best to use the e-brake at full, and maybe block the wheels if nessessary. Adjustment of the e-brake is easy if it isn't functioning properly.
If there is a curb, you can turn the tires into it to reduce the load.
Good Luck!

What is the normal operation of the 04 navigator air suspension? i don't have a manual. should the vehicle drop when i stop and raise when i crank's it work if all is good?

As a Past owner of several "air rides" that is how they work. Also when you put it into 4x4 on some models the vehicle will raise another 1-2 inches.

On any model with the air ride you need to remember that the height of the vehicle is usually higher after driving. This means after parking over a curb bumper or a sidewalk, the bottom will rub unless you give the car time to rise.

The system is more useful when hauling a trailer or carrying heavy loads as it will level the vehicle automatically.

locate the ride height control sensor box with a small rod connected to the rear control arm. this rod needs to be loosened and raised about 1 and 1/2 inches, and tightened in place. this will only work if your rear load leveling still works on the car, as the air shocks are pumped up resulting in a lift w/out fuckin up the whole car
