Under the passenger side dashboard. Right side. There's three screws holding it in place and there's 1 wiring harness leading out of it.

Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the 3 screws. It'll just slide out. To replace, simply reverse the removal process.

Hot air through floor in 99 Suburban when blower is switched off

I the short answer is yes. The truck has a flow-thru vent feature as does most GM products. When the fan switch is off the outside air would flow into the truck.
I thought you could still direct the air by way of the control panel, but by the wiring diagram it looks like everything is disabled when the fan switch is in the off position.

Removing actuator from 05 cavalier

AC Actuator ?
The temperature control regulates the HVAC system air temperature in any mode. A temperature control cable mechanically links the temperature control to the temperature door. Your hearing stuff inside the blower motor housing , like leafs or someother de·bris .

Because your vehicle has no electric actuator .
Disconnect the electrical connections from the blower motor.
Remove the blower motor retaining heat stakes with a chisel or a screwdriver.

2001 ford mustang 3.8. blower motor quit working. fuse is good blower control switch and blower motor is good. seems that no power is getting to the speed control switch. where do i look now?

Look next to the blower motor for the blower motor resistor, the power for the blower motor runs through this resistor, if it has burned out then no power will get to the motor. It will be small and held into the housing by 2 screws and will have wiring plugged in to it. Check with an ohm meter, however if it is burned out usually you can see that directly. Hope this helps.

IF THE BLOWER MOTOR ONLY WORKS PN HIGH THEN YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR LOCATED ON THE SAME HEATER BOX AS THE BLOWER MOTOR

Fan in my 98 f-150 quit running

Good Morning,
You can check the fuses and also if you can unplug or splice into the blower motor wires, you can jump wire the blower motor directly to the battery and it should work! If it don't you need a new blower motor. Please let me know if this helps you and thank you for using FixYa!

Blow motor quit. and vent direction control.

When you replaced the blower, did you unhook any vacuum lines to the air ducts? Chances are that you did and without them, you can't direct the air to the defrost vents or any where else. Hopefully you won't have to redo a lot of the under dash work to fix this.

Blower for the a/c, defrost, etc. will not run on front control. Rear blower works from front and rear controls

Ok, here's the problem and your solution:
I have had 3 blower motors go bad in less than 120K miles. Origninal made it to 74K and 1st replacement made it to 95K. All were replaced by dealerships with factory equipment at between $500 to $600 each time. This last time it failed, I decided to change it myself. Auto Zone has the replacement blower for <$200. It doesn't look exactly like the original equipment due to a modification which directs forced air over the blower's motor, (originals were failing due to poor design). Also, the replacement, at least for my '04, used different wiring plug. Just cut original off of harness and replace with correct plug.

Blower has been working great now for past 49K.
