Your window motor on the driverside may be bad. or the switch that cotrols it may have a bad connection. does it hum or anything when you try to roll it down? even a bad widow motor will sometimes hum like it's trying to work. is it frozen on the outside of the window? if so you can unthaw it with de icer. if fuses are good, it has to be bad switch,or bad window motor. thank you for choosing fixya.com

My 1998 diamante es power windows inop, except driver window works fine.all fuses ok.what next?

If all the fuses are OK, then you have a short most likely at the master panel. Usually, it is the switches that get worn out. You can find this panel at any salvage yard that has your model.

My windows wont roll down on my lexus gs300 only the drivers one works

Hi if the drivers window works then this suggests the fuses are ok.

now the problem you are having is going to be with the switches that control the windows, if the drivers side switch is the same as the passenger then what you can do is pry the drivers side one up and pull it out and swap it with the passenger one, doing this will then tell you if the switch is at fault or the motor if it works then you need to replace the switch if it dont work then you need to replace the motor.
let me know if you have electric windows in the back as this could be a fuse, one thing you can do is look in the fuse box and on the back of the fuse box lid it should tell you what each fuse is for and then just pull the one for rear windows, if its not written on the back of fuse box cover than it will be written in the owners handbook that you get when the car is new usually kept in glove box or under seat.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Driver side power window doesnt work

Its possible, check underhood fuse box, the position 6, 60AMP for Power Windows

Other details can find in the Ford-Explorer-Owners-Manual (page 187 and next)

If the fuse is OK, take off the trim panel to check the windows motor, windows switch and wires.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

Passenger power window quit working...is it a fuse or breaker or what? The drivers window works fine.

hi, if the drivers window works fine then this suggests the fuse is ok, if you can control the passenger window from the driver side and it dont work and the switch on the passenger side dont work the window then this would point towards either motor or regulator at fault, if the drivers side and passenger side switch are the same then you can swap the switches over all you need to do is pry them out and unclip the wires and swap them over this way you can test if its the switch at fault or the motor.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Toyota prado 1996 electric window and mirror on drivers side is not working. Whole drivers door window control panel and also mirror on that side) Is this a fuse? If so where is fuse?

the fuses for the windows will be in fuse box, it sounds like possible water intrusion, the fuses should all be marked, if they are all good, you may have to remove the door panel to check for any damage at door switches

All the power windows quit working, the fuse is not blown. i thought it may be motor but, all the windows quit working at the same time.

It's either a master fuse for the whole window system (if your car has that) or it's the switch module on the driver's door. All the window power is routed first to the driver's door, then out to the others. If your master switch on the driver's door dies, you'll lose all the window controls. Check fuses, and if they're OK, replace the driver's door switch panel. Once you do that, you should be fine.

Power windows stopped working

If it's all your windows not working from the driver's seat, then it's your window switch on the driver's door or it may be a fuse(I doubt it's a fuse). If it's just one window, then it's the motor inside the door of that one window.

All power buttons in driver door stopped working

Check your fuse for the windows and locks, water has shorted out the switches or cased a fuse to blow. But check the fuse first. The fuse location would be listed in the manual or on the inside of the fuse door panel.

Power Windows

I assume the fuses have been verified to be OK. As long as they are, it seems that either the window regulators in those doors have failed, or there is a break in the wiring between the doors. The most likely problem after fuses though is that the driver's door switches themselves have failed. Power is routed through the driver's door before being distributed to the other doors. If the driver's door switch module has died, then the other switches for those windows won't work either. A replacement driver's switch pod is easy to swap and runs around $10 at a salvage yard - I'd try that after verifying that the fusing is all OK.
