If it over heated and now has a miss there may have been some internal damage to a cylinder check the plug and wire and if they are good do a compression test

I have 1 2002 buick centery the low coolent light was blinking red but its not low now its solid red and over heats on idel only

Not low in the recovery bottle or
coolant system, when you check that

That doesn't tell you much

You have to diagnose the overheating issues

Stop using it until resolved

Engine oil light on at idel goes off when driving comes on at stops

Check oil level on dipstick. Check for loose connection on oil pressure sender unit. Have the oil pressure checked using a master gauge.

1989 toyota 4x4 pickup, 22re engine, was leaking water out the tail pipe, so am trying head sealer....now when it got low on water the idle would go up and down, up and down. put water in it and it would...

There are no codes need for this they have limited definitions,so lets leave it alone. If you want to sucessfully put a head sealer the direction says to put in radiator. I hope you did use the block sealer just yet. since you replace waterpump and thermostat you can do this, this is the proper way to use block sealer remove the thermostat take some fluid out and pour you block sealer in there. add you coolant or water, and put the thermostat back in.closed the system back up top off the radiator. Not this will be tricky and you ll have to under stand the process or you will waste the block sealer, okay? first because when you are low on coolant this indicates how blown the headgasket is the combustion is coming out to the radiator and with fluid in the radiator the combustion that should go out goes out due to fluid in the radiator okay. block seal in radiator top off. you will use the upper radiator hose as an indicator of how successful you made the repair.start the engine in order for the block seal to work it works and seal because of heat it goes to the hottest part of the leaking area because its hot it solidifies and thus the seal.Start the engine have it rev to 1500RPM feel the upper radiator hose and keep the RPM up. Now when the upper hose feels like it collapse or is soft when squeezed add your coolant or water in the radiator keeping RPM high and dont lower when you open the thermostat it will just shoot out. Now if your repair was sucessfull you upper radiator hose will be solid when it is solid dont open it will shoot out. watch you temp gauge is it close to 200F or kinda in the middle, when it get there shut down the vehicle and dont open the thermostat why because you head is blown and the sealant will just get shot out into the exhaust. so let it seal as it is leaking out and eventually it will seal, now when it get cool open the radiator fill it up, restart feel the upper hose again rev it up to 1500RPM, does it get solid as the engine warms up?if it does you suceeded. If it doesnt you need to repeat or replace headgasket

What is the check gauges light

CHECK GAGES light (1) indicates a potential engine failure(low oil pressure, low coolant, coolant overheating) has occurred.
· Check gages and shut down engine. Gages should read as follows: Oil pressure 5 to 10 psi (34 to 69 kPa) at idle; Water Temp gage below 230 degrees (110 C).
· Check engine oil level (Para 2-11) if OIL PRESS gage indicates low reading. Check coolant level (Para 2-11) if Water Temp gage indicates high reading. Notify Unit Maintenance if levels are low.

If CHECK ENGINE light (2) is on, check engine oil pressure gage (3) and water temperature gage (4). If both indicate normal, proceed with mission and then notify Unit Maintenance. If either one does not indicate normal, stop engine immediately and notify Unit Maintenance

4 wd low range will sometimes engage 4wd high will never engage

I had a very similar problem with my 98 gmc 2500. The 4 low would engage - though the upshifts were erratic, but no 4 high though the light sometimes came on. I changed out the electric shift solenoid or whatever it is called, on the transfer case and it worked fine after that. A fairly simple fix that can be done in 15 minutes. Hope this helps.
