Question about 2003 Honda Civic

I am having HONDA civic EG 8 manual transmission Carburetor 1992 manufacture with D15B engine. I did an engine tune up by the Honda agent recently and since then it starts giving me an intermittent trouble mostly when the engine is heated up after certain mileage. details of the problem is as follows(When this problem is not happening car's performances are superb with very good emission levels and puling power and fuel economy) After a smooth run abruptly the car knocks (as when a fuel system error occurs) and the RPM drops down to even 0. and most of the time it stalls, when i crank it , it crank well and start again but the RPM does not maintain at any level in the idle it drops to about 100 or even lower. when i rev it , it revs without any problem even up to 10000 RPM but i cannot maintain that particular RPM even by keeping my foot on the accelerator, as it drops to about 100, but if i keep on revving it can be kept at certain level but as soon as i engage a gear RPM drops and engine stalls. this is a huge problem for me as i cannot drive more than 20 to 30 km this happens and stalls , but when i keep the vehicle overnight and cools down it starts smoothly and runs for another 30 km or so and stalls . When i took the vehicle back to the agent they replaced the ignition coil of which the insulator was found to be cracked. this did not solve the problem, and the agent could not diagnose any thing further. Please help me as i am in a critical state as this is my only car.

so some one has done a engine swap if there are left over plugs then the engine light will be on v-tec engines have solenoids that operate the camshaft the 1500 non v-tec does not .computer and wiring are different.

I would first check to see if the car has any vacuum leaks. This will require some carburetor cleaner or a code reader that can show the readout of the oxygen sensor. Is the check engine light on? This will give a good starting point as to why the car behaves the way it does.

Other things to check would be the tune-up items like the spark plugs/wires/cap and rotor. There is a slight chance the fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator are causing this. Would need more information to help any farther than that. Hope this helps.

14-idle air control valve, 15-ignition output signal, 17-vehicle speed sensor,
3-map sensor, 7-throttle position sensor.

Yes your original computer is set up for automatic transmission. You will have to get a computer out of a manual trans car and you wont have the problems.

If the block says d15b, it is a 1.5 liter, just as powerful as the 1.6 if you bump the timing up a little bit, but these engines are notorious oil burners and the standard transmissions always eat up their input shaft bearing and growl.
