you may have a short (verify the integrity of the insulation of the positive wire from that fuse going to the rear window defroster, check the relay & switch.) try to replace the relay.

1995. Why does the engine fuse keep blowing?

If that is the only instance to blow the fuse; when the contact key is turned 'ON' the relay sets priority to 'start engine' mode, like directing the power to the starting accessories, now when instead you activate something else, the circuit is overloaded: Puff

09 Sonata both low beams stopped working this morning. Fuse was blown, replaced it as soon as I turned on key fuse blows. Switched relay...no help

If fuse is black when it blows is because of a short most likely a wire pinched against the body. Is fuse blows and not black than it is an overload at which I don't think that would be the case

did u replace the relay just a curious question, sometimes they have rust and water in the inside of the relay but my guess would be that you have a bare wire rubbing somewhere, causing the fuse to blow, anything significant has happened before that issue?

Blowing brake light fuse

you might want in this case try a higher rating fuse, example is if the fuse is 15 amp rase it to a 25 amp fuse, try not to go over 40 amp if possible,if that still blows it is more than likley a shorted switch or a bad relay causing the overload or short. after the fuse change an still a problem chech the relay for the break lights next, these are located in the engine compartment and on some models in the trunk, good luck,Gary

it wont be an overload, more likely a short, check saloon and boot light bulbs, boot light switch, door switches, looking for a broken switch or loose wire

I have changed my fuel pump and relay but the fuel pump fuse keeps blowing. Any suggestions?

Check the ground to the fuel pump. It may be making bad/intermittent contact, causing the circuit to overload.

25amp fuse blows when ignition is tured on volvo940 gl 1994

Disconnect (unplug) all the units that are supplied by the 25A fuse.
Switch on ignition and check that fuse has not blown- if it blows under these conditions the short or overload to ground is:-
a) in the wiring to one of the units,
b) or there is some other unidentified faulty unit still connected.

Re-connect each unit one at a time, observing fuse status.
If one of the units has a short / fault, it will blow the fuse when it is connected back in circuit.
