How are you checking the spark? tough the old plug? Did you check the spark from the coil? If not do this first, be careful it can bite, if the spark is hot aka blue replace the wires and rotor they both have resisters in them that can go bad. If not get an other plug wire any will do does not have to be from a VW. place it into the dis. cap and check it with out a spark plug, if the spark good the wires are bad.
Reminder turning up car can fix most problems.

2001 geo metro is firing orange from all coils, it's getting gas and the timing and compression is good

You have a problem with your coil packs . One of them is bad likely the main one . The spark should be blue and have a good snap sound . Look for bad connections to the coils and oil leaking from them . Its wireing or a bad coil its to hadr to be more specific with out seeing it

I have a 96 Chevy Corsica and it won't start.... I

If you have a healthy spark (a blue snapping spark), it would not be a problem in the ignition system or the module. An orange, weak, or intermittent spark could point to trouble in the ignition.
I would check the timing on it, maybe it is a timing chain problem. It should have fired and ran a bit with the starter fluid. The fact that it didn't, even with a good spark, well, probably needs a little shop time investigating. Jumped timing from a worn chain? Low compression in one or more cylinders? A couple of things you need to consider.
Good luck.

97 2.0 liter jetta. hard starting

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

96 nissan 200sx started and ran rough for 10 sec then died and wont restart. distributor is turning. no fault codes. has good fuel pressure. spark looked weak so i changed cap and rotor. still wont start....

something to ponder over here as iam not sure what could be the problem here but if its a weak spark then it could be module /coil/crank sensor in that order .These problems will not show up as fault codes i dont think as they are working but not to full efficiency

96vw jeta won't start and i've changed both engine and trans mission computers and i stilll don't get any fire.

Have you checked for spark. Where did you get the coil? I have found that aftermarket coils do not work on these only the factory ones. I can't explain it. But I have one in my shop with a bad coil and got two from o'reilly and two from napa and both would do nothing. Got one from VW, car ran perfect. Checked the aftermarket coils and the resistance was different on the primary side of the coil.

Car won't start lights and horn work, tried to jump start from another car still nothing but a clicking noise.push started car ran fine

you need a new battery or when you use another car to jump your car, you have to start the other car and accelerate it and probably you can start your car.

Because your battery is very weak.
