Pull the fuse for the dash gauges. Could be corrosion. If that doesn't fix it. Remove the instrument panel, pull the plug and put it back in. Corrosion again. Since it worked before and "all" the gauges went south. Either one of these should fix your problem.

No dash lights

Check the obvious first. Is the fuse ok? When you turn on the headlights do all the outside lights work correctly? check the fuse, if its ok check the headlight switch.

Dashboard lights dont work fuses appear ok but dont know which fuse controls dash lights

The parking and tail lights are usually on the same fuse as the dash lights so if the outside lights are working it sounds like the instrument dimmer control has failed. The electronic bits inside the control for these lights sometimes go faulty. A temporary fix is to remove the wiring plug that attaches to the back of the dimmer control and put a jumper wire across the terminals. If dash lights then work then replace dimmer control.

Hi glindajackson
The problem with the two dash lights that are not working on your car is almost certainly NOT fuse related as these lights themselves are NOT fused and all seems ok outside. Problem is more lightly to be that the dash bulbs themselves are blown.
Hope this helps you out

Dashboard lights/ headlights on alarm/ right outside lights

I had the same problem. Couldn't find a cause, so I shorted the right side to the left and both work OK. Unfortunately, several months later the dash lights quit again, but the outside lights are OK.

I still can't determine why the dash lights are not working, and I'm about to jump 12 v and ground to the dimmer switch, since it seems like there is an open wire. All fuses in the fuse block are OK, but there may be an inline fuse I can't find.

None of the electrical works on the interior of the car. The heater fan, the radio, the dash lights, etc.

Start by checking the fuses and relays. There is more than one fuse box in Fords - one inside the car and one under the hood. IF the fuses are OK, then a harness may have come apart. You would need to trace the wiring under/behind the dash. Does the car start OK?
