Check the fuse if they are ok then might be a bad switch or burnt motor. and the only way to test the motor and the switch is to take them apart and hit the motor with 12V ,if it runs then the switch is bad. Good luck

Power window wont roll up on driver's side

If, when you hit the button, you do not hear anything at all, it is most likely the power window motor is burned out. If you hit the button, and can hear the motor running in the door, your window is either off it's track, or the motor is worn out where it connects to the cracking mechanism and is not catching it. Popping off the door panel will give you access and you'll be able to see first hand what it is doing once you hit the button. Less likely reasons are a disconnected switch, wire short at the switch, or condensation on the switch.

2002 mercury mountaineer on e window not working

All the windows are on the same fuse, if the other windows are working fine, it's not a fuse issue. I susppect the motor or the window regulator.
With your ear close to the door panel, press the window switch up and down, if you hear the motor and grinding noises then the window regulator needs to be replaced, if you don't hear anything then the motor is bad OR no power is getting to the motor. either way you will have to take the door panel off and to fix.

Driver window will not come up. power window driver side not working pass. works fine

The drivers side is the master, which you probably already know. It has to be related to the motor, switch or wiring in that door. Check and make sure that your fuses are all good, then check to see if you have power to the switch, then power from the switch, if so then check the motor, check for power going to the motor, if it is there and still not working then it is the motor, likewise with the switch, if power is going to the switch but not leaving, then the switch is bad. No power at the switch is a bad fuse or wiring to the switch.

Driver side power window stuck in down position, all other windows functioning normally. What are the possible causes, fuses? Motor? or Switch?

joe2 mercs is right, and that is the $ fix/proper fix, but first If window motor is doing nothing, stuck, ...try this....

NO COST and fast PROCEDURE TO try to FIX IT:

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.

7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

I have a 2002 Ford F150 4 door (rear doors are not full sized) I rolled the passenger window down now it will not go back up, I can hear power to it only when I press the button to go down, any ideas??

the contact wire from the switch is not making contact with the motor. Use a test light, and blunt flat instument with this fix. You have to remove the door panel. Locate the window motor and then the power leads to it. Without disconnectineing anything, ground the clip on the test light, and while the button is pushed note the one the is working, and thus lights up. If they both light up when the button is pushed respectively, then the motor is bad. If the one that is not working doesn't light up then the power to the motor is the problem. See if there is power to the switch, it is very likely that the problem is either that switch, or the contact with the motor. I hope this helps you. Please don't forget to rate this solution, and thank you for trusting to help get you going!

Front L- Window would not go up.

It sounds like it's more likely a motor or regulator issue.

on the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can disconnect the switch harness and test the switches. If they are fine, then you'll need to pull back the weather seal to see the motor and regulator.

2002 expedition- Driver window suddenly won't

I would recommend removing the door panel to check power to the motor. If you have power when the switch is pressed ,the motor is bad. You will have power on one wire in the up position and power on the other wire in the down position. I hope this helps, good luck

My 2002 mercury mountaineer window won't go back up. It's stuck. What should I do?

First you should check the fuse for the windows. If the fuse is good you should press the button for the window and listen for a noise. If you hear a noise, then the motor has most likely gone bad and needs to be replaced. If you do not hear any noise, the switch for the window could be bad. If you are mechanically inclined, take the door panel off and use a voltmeter to test and see if power is getting to the motor when you press the switch. If it is not, you need to replace the switch.

1993 Nissan Maxima SE Car Alarm freaks out, and other electrical

Im no professional but i did recently buy a 93 maxima and i have the same security alarm problem and my powered locks dont work at all. im taking off the door panel today to take a look and see if the alarm sensor is loose or damaged, if it is, ill probably just disconnect it. one thing i have noticed though is that when i hit the lock or unlock button, i hear a faint click from the dashboard area which im assuming is the solenoid on a transistor which would mean that the buttons work but the transistor isnt delivering power. Semi-Solution for Locks: Listen for very quiet click when you lock/unlock doors, if you hear it, uve got major work to do, if you dont, then take apart the door and check the switch connections. Semi-Solution for Alarm: take off the door panel and disconnect the sensor.

1997 Nissan Altima Rear Driver side power Window.

Switch needs to be replaced. Its a common problem and isnt that difficult to replace. Once you get the door panel off, its pretty much unplug the old one and plug those wires into the new one
