If none of the injectors spray fuel have the computer checked if no codes are stored in the computer.

It sounds most likely that part has failed

Is there an engine light on? When you spray starter fluid into the breather, the engine starts.....and it stays running and is driveable after this procedure??? How many miles are on the car? Spark plugs have been replaced recently?

I know you say good fuel pressure, but when the pressure is tested (and pressure is critical) what ois the pressure? CKP could also be the cause, but a check engine light would have been lit, low fuel pressure will not cause the light to go on.

Audi tt hasnt started over winter will not start

since it sat the fuel has gone "stale" and the gas tank has collected condensation. treat gas tank with a can of heat (fuel additive) modern fuel injected vehicles are very finiky about fuel pressure, just getting the fuel to the motor is not enough, it needs to be within a certian operational threshold. you may need to purchase a service manual (around 15 bucks at any parts store) to reference the specs, test the pressure with a test gauge at the service port at or near fuel rails. in most cases it needs around 60psi give or take but every application varies. do not test you spark plugs by remove the plug and ground it out. this works on older cars but will damage your coil packs. a simple easy way to test got spark is to hook up a timing light to each wire and check for a signal, if you get a signal then current is passing through the wire. you can also purchase a meter for testing current. if everything checks out (you have good fuel pressure and spark) then try using a small amount of starting fluid. dont jsut spray into the air box, remove air duct from throttle body, open throttle butterflies and spray into intake, this may be enough to get it fired up and running. also if you spray starting fluid into your motor and it trys to run or runs for a second then stalls then fuel delivery is the issue for sure, hope this helps

99 ram with 5.2 wont start, good fuel pressure on rail, good spark. no engine codes any ideas

You have fuel pressure but is the fuel being injected? Do this, get a can of spray starting fluid from the parts store or a hardware store, spray into the engine air intake, if the truck starts and then stalls out you have no fuel being injected. Also make sure when the engine is cranked that the engine computer (ECM) is getting power, you could have a problem with the starter motor switch, this is the electrical switch the ignition key actuates.

My 96 crown vic police interceptor, cranks won't start without spraying starter fluid.. the car won't start without spraying starter fluid into air intake hose to carb...

starting fluid is a thing of the past. dont use it. this car doesnt have a carb, its a throttle body/ electronic fuel injection system. you most likely have a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator issue. test the fuel pressure, should be anywheres from 35-50 psi

My 2001 Saturn, will start but not stay running. We have checked the fuel pump and all fluids. Did a compression check this morning, fuel injectors are not injecting fuel into fuel rail. Why is engine...

You said, 'fuel injectors are not injecting fuel into fuel rail' but it's my understanding that the fuel rail gasoline is supplied by the pump, and the fuel injectors just pulse to allow fuel to get to the cylinders. I would check out the fuel delivery problem further. Check for pressure in the fuel rail that is within specs.

If not, then the pump or fuel pressure regulator may be the problem. Check the fuse for the fuel pump. If good, then the pump may be bad in the tank.

Good luck on this.

A couple of weeks ago we parked oye 2002 Saturn L200 and later it would not start...it trys to turn over but won't start...my husband replaced the engine coils and emission control module but it still...

I would try a fuel pump first. Make sure that the spark plugs are getting spark. If they spark then there is a very good chance it is the fuel pump. I would spray some starting fluid in the air filter, if the car starts then it is going to be most likely the fuel pump.

The engine cranks fine, but won't start. Fuel pressure gets up to about 40 lbs. when cranking. There is a spark, but it may be too weak. Any good ideas?

your fuel pressure should actually be around 180lbs to run the engine.open the breather up and spray a very small ammount of starting fluid into the breather while you're cranking it. if it does start, your problems the fuel pump,or a clogged fuel filter.if it does'nt start you can move on to crankshaft sensor.or a bad fuel pressure regulator. thank you for choosing fixya.com

Will not start just replaced fuel pump and crank sensor just cranks is geting fire

check fuel pump relay and or fuel pump pressure.
If you can take some starting fluid and spray some into the breather and it starts then look at fuel pump and or fuel pressure and or relay.

The vehicle runs for a few days and then refuses to start

You must narrow it down to fuel or electrical. When it wont start spray some starting fluid in the breather or throttle bottlefor 3 seconds to c if it starts. if it starts it is electrical. If if doesnt it is fuel related. Fuel filter ..fuel pump...fuel pressure valve..Good Luck!!!
