Is tere a certain way to fill engine cooling system to keep air out my car seems like its vapar locking i have to run heaqter all the time so it doesnt over heat

If you have a radiator cap, take it off and start the car. Let it warm up until the thermostat opens (about 190 degrees). Fill the radiator and keep it full until it stops going down. This should bleed all of the air out. If you have more questions, please reply.

I have a 2000 Alero that is over heating and blowing cold air inside the car i just changed the thermastat and the result is the same????

Hi there you could try flushing the system, it sounds like your Heater Matrix ( heater core ) this could be blocked with limescale/antifreeze deposits etcor just broken.

hope this helps , please rate :)

2001 Alero- heat gage does not show heat tempature. Blows warm air.Engine felt cold after a 50 mile trip. Out side tempature 20 degrees fernaheight.

with winter being here you might want to consider having a new thermostat put in to increase the heat in side, but make sure your radiator is full when engine is cold

My temperature gauge read red... the light came on and I turned the heater on to try to help it cool down,it worked, but there was no heat coming from the vents. when i turn the heat off, temp rises...

Have you checked the coolant level? If it is low, what you describe will happen, the engine will run hot, and the heat won't seem to work (coolant level too low to circulate through the heater core). Hope it's that simple, if not, let me know and I'll attempt to help further. Good luck!

2000 Alero idles low and dies when stopped.

How does it idle when you first start or idle when hot.
On the top of the air intake tube there is a small screw which should when screwed in speed up the idle and if it dosent work or it idles fine when cold or warm at idle then its your GEARs are binding up and there's not to much you can do about that ........sorry
