Make sure the high beam realay under the hood fuse box is working. You can swap the hi beam relay with the horn relay to test. The hi beam filiament in the bulb can be open too.

Sometimes a ground will make the lights dim, if it is dim on one side look for the ground for that side. I had a little trouble understanding your Q. Try looking in your owners manual for location of relays

yeah, shouldn't be that difficult. red-power, black-ground. unplug them then put everything back to normal, then try them to see if the originals(low beams, high beams, fog lights) work ok. if they do it's in the wiring. turn on your low beams and that's the wires that you need. just find the one that sends 12volts to the low beams and hook it up to red on HID's then hook the black(ground) from HID to chasis, not the ground wire from car and check to see if they work.

High beams work but low beams do not. Fuses seem to be good

Hi

I would start with the dimmer switch if you know the lights are good dimmer switches do this you will lose your high beam or you will lose your low beam when they go bad.

Driver side headlight is out, high beam works

Neither low beam works. Both high beams are fine. Any idea as to what the low beam problem is? Prior to this, the driver side low beam would not come on unless I hit the bulb. The right was okay. Now neither low beam works.
