Fuse location for a 2000 mercury sable

You should have 2 locations, and some circuits are found at both places, some only one.
Your owner's manual should tell you about both of them.
One should be under the left side of the dashboard, which would be like to the left side of your left shin bone when you are driving.
The other is in a black plastic box under the hood of the car, most usually in front of the passenger seat near the firewall behind the engine.
Some though are found on the right side in front of the driver's seat near the battery., also in a black plastic box.
God bless your efforts.

Where is the battery located?

Open the hood. Look for a black rectangular object near the front with big wires going to it. Not to be condescending, but if you really have to ask where the battery is, don't touch anything and call a good mechanic.

Is there another fuse box than under the hood.

There are 2 fuse boxes, they are called Bussed Electrical Centers.
The front Bussed Electrical
Center (This is one fuse box) is located in
the front of the engine
compartment on the
passenger’s side. Lift the
cover to gain access

Rear Underseat Bussed Electrical Center (BEC)
The rear BEC is located
beneath the rear seat on the
driver’s side. The rear seat
cushion must be removed to
access the BEC. See
“Removing the Rear Seat
Cushion” in the Index.

Where is the fuse box on a 2004 pontiac gto

these cars they fuse block and battery can be located under the rear seat, there are pull release just under the fron edge of the back bench seat, it may also be located in the truck beside the spare tire. Check under the hood, before looking in those location, just in case it is there, There might be on for interior fuses under the driver or passenger side of the dash, when in doubt look in your owners manual, or call and ask your dealer, they should be able to tell you over the phone.

First off you have three fuse boxes in your car, 1 big one under the hood on the passenger side, next is under the dash on the passenger side, you get to this one by removing the kick plate {plastic cover} you have to look closly as this is the hardest one to find and get at, the third one and the one your probably going to need is the one under the back seat, don't worrie it's easy to remove, all you do is grab hold of the bottom of the seat in the middle and pull up in a quick jolt, the seat is very light and very easy to put back, the fuse box is right there and is black and has a black knob you undo, look inside the lid and you will see a diagram telling you what is what.

If this is a 1997 2 door XK8 then it is your main switch thats bad, if it is a 4 door sedan and your light and signals don't work then you need to start with the fuses.
Goto the engine bay and on the passenger side there is a long black box, inside there is your fuse identification chart.
Fuse boxes are in engine bay, trunk next to battery and under the rear seats, where your heals go, do not have to remove seats (2 inspection panels)
