Turned key in ignition got no responce tried connect to ecu unable to respond

With a voltmeter check out the main battery fuse cartridge located in the fuse box usually 3 or 4 of them bolted to fuse box you cant mistake them they are the largest physically in the fuse box , If this reads ok check your Battery Earth strap and Engine earth strap .sometimes the dash lights if these straps are poor but they can not carry enough power to complete circuit.

If Left for a couple of days , battery (new) goes flat . Electrician has checked input /output from Gen and Battery.

Meaning that the earth strap is draining your battery into the ...."ground"? so to speak.....look around the soil where you had placed the earth strap into/on to the ground. If you discharged your battery there should be some dead earth worms around that spot. Or put the strap back on with a freshly charged battery....wet the soil a bit at the point where the earth strap is contacting the ground.... and if it is discharging the a few minutes it will cause earth worms to become excited and surface.
But I would rationally think that there is an accessory like an alarm or light or radio that you left on that drained the battery.... there has been some scuttle about car hacking...There was conversation floating around about gaining access to a cars ECM via one of the blue tooth devices being built into the system....or someway contact the car with a phony OnStar ID.....
is your car a hybrid? If so....shine what I've said ....except the worm thing....because ....I don't know......just because.......good luck and play safe.

Motor doesnt want to start and bought new starter

From the description you have posted I a summarizing that the engine will not turn when the starter switch is activated , firstly place the vehicle in gear and make sure it has not seized by rocking back and forth( an obvious thing you may think but many miss the obvious ) if the engine is free check your battery connections most notably your body to engine earthing strap and Battery to earth strap . If this is secure and free of corrosion remove the wires from the starter motor solenoid place a bulb across the wires and try the ignition switch if the bulb lights the fault is not there,if not the fault lies in the circuit from your switch to your starter solenoid . Most times I have found the reason is earth strap related either battery side to bodywork or to engine.

1997 pathfinder starts real slow only when warm

Suspect ground or earth return from engine and trans to body. Take off both ends of all earth straps, test for continuity or breaks or corrosion in straps, buy new if there is any doubt, sandpaper to bare metal the earthing points on chassis an d engine, bolt straps on tight, try again.
otherwise starter may need rebuilding....

Where is engine ground strap

ground straps on engines are either from the battery earth post to the engine or to a body point . If it is to a body earth point the engine earth strap will be around an engine mount. From the engine bolt around the rubber to the body mount bolt. probably on the mount closest to the battery

When starting the jeep does not turn over and i am getting a clicking noise from the starter. some times the jeep starts and other times i get the issue noted above. Do you have any suggestions as to...

Could be a high resistance connection between the battery and starter or on the earth strap from the battery or the earth strap from the engine to the chassis. Get someone to turn the engine over whilst measuring the voltage on the starter motor. If you can't do that then unbolt the earth straps from the chassis, clean with some emery or glass paper and grease before re-tightening. There are other possible causes but I have had this on a couple of occasions. Dave

Check the ground cable from the battery to engine and from the battery to body/chassis. Let me know if you need any other help.

Starter problem

if you have changed the battery and starter we most likly at this stage rule them out.from experance i would say its an earthing problem; number one ,earth strap from car body to engine, number two earth lead from starter motor to battery, and the last one earth strap from neg side of battery to car body check all these and romove and clean.hope this cures your problem.adrian
