Cold weather affects the amperage output on your battery. Chemical reactions increase with temperature and slow down with cold temps. The battery is a chemical reaction greatly affected. Some people have to replace the battery in severely cold weather. Well, at least now you know the cause. I recommend keeping a back up warm battery or purchase one of those aftermarket solar panels that hook on top of the door glass to keep your battery fresh. I think Performance Products carries it. Well, good luck.

2001 jaguar s-type won't crank battery new and charged. Turn the ignition car won't make a sound

many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.

2.0d x-type 2005 Est. Starting problems when engine is warm

Ok, time for car school. The vehicle is operated by the computer, every electrical concept that is. When the engine is cold, it starts fine because the computer has placed it in "cold start mode", putting more fuel into the engine than normally would until Once the engine is warmed up, a temperature sending unit or temp sensor tells the computer to change to normal run mode. IF said temp sensor is faulty and is not telling the computer to make said change, it stays in cold start mode, still dumping excess fuel in the engine that is now not required, cause it's warmed up. Like keeping the choke closed on older vehicles. Now I think you can answer your own question, when this no start action is happening after warm up and it always starts fine when cold, what's the first thing you check ? Right, the unsuspected temp sensor. Change that and no more start problem. Have a wonderful day. Glad I could be of service.

Hard to start when engine warm on X Type Jaguar Diesel 2005

Well it is only a ford mondao with a different body shape ,No self respecting jag man would evan consider a diesel ,anyway enough winding up and back to problem ---diesel-- common rail injection ,,,,I honestly feel that it would need plugging in to a DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER to find the fault because its not like the older model diesels with an injector pump and its all manual .This could be a fault with the cold start or the injector that controls the firing order .Sorry i couldnt be of any more help but these new fancy electronics ??
