Yes, good chance of it. Raplacing a thermostat is pretty easy. Here try this thread link for instructions.

The Tempurature sensor and relay for the electric cooling fan is probably faulty. Or the fan itself may be burned out. The fan should be turning itself on when the car heats up. Pop the hood while the car is running and watch the fan, if the car is getting much over 180 degrees without it coming on, then it is faulty. Optimum operating Tempurature is 180 degrees. The fan should be trying to operate and keep it as close to 180 degrees as it can. Here is a link for a Temp. sensor so you can see what one looks like. http://www.partzfinder.com/180_degree_Te...
Also have the cooling system flushed and put new coolant in.

2002 dodge caravan sport overheated. It has a new radiator and hoses; we changed the thermostat and replaced the relay and pigtail for the cooling fans after it overheated but we still have the overheating...

Double check the thermostat and make sure the water pump is doing its job. To check the thermostat, simply take it out and reassemble the housing with out the unit. Run the engine and hopefully it will get warm to hot. If not check the pump.

Antifreeze light says system is low and car runs hot but antifreeze level is where it should be

Sounds like it could be a thermostat not opening. If the thermostat doesn't open then it will get hot because its not allowing the cooled antifreeze from the radiator into the engine. Your car has two circulations with the antifreeze. While your car is running it is heating up the antifreeze in the engine and when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens and takes the hot antifreeze from the engine and puts it into the radiator to be cooled. At the same time the cool antifreeze from the radiator is placed into the engine to keep it cool. If your thermostat doesn't open your engine will get hot and overheat.

My heater blows cold air when car is stopped. i have installed a new water pump and the radiator is full of water.

you still have air trapped in the cooling system. Get front of car as high up as you can on a hill. Cold engine - loosen radiator cap, fill with 50/50 antifreeze mix. Start engine and run until upper radiator hose is hot (thermostat open). Engine should burp air and maybe spill some coolant, that's ok. Once burped, tighten cap, shut off engine and let it cool down while keeping the reservoir full. It will **** coolant out of reservoir as it cools. Keep it full.

If still cold air, take to a shop that has evac/fill equipment; they will **** air out and repalce with coolant. About $80.

All heat settings work fan blows but theres no hot air cold??

check your radiator resivior, make sure that there is antifreeze up to the full when hot line, if your low on fluid the first thing you lose is heat.

My heat won't blow and my car keeps runing hot?

First thing to check would be the antifreeze/coolant level. If the coolant level is full suspect a faulty thermostat possibly sticking closed.

My temperature gage is going over in the red and my heat is not

Check the sensor which controls the cooling fans that cools the radiator it prevents the engine from over heating and allows the temp gauge to stay at normal range.recently had problems with my 2003 impala overheating it was the sensor had the thermostat replace as well.

2007 grand caravan heat takes about 10 minutes plus to get warm-is this normal? It actually blows cool air for that long, but eventually blows hot air. Replacing the thermostat which might have been...

sounds like you have a actuator problem or the heater core may be stoped up check and make sure actuator is moving if not replace

make sure both heater core hoses are hot to touch at operating temp if both are not hot replace heater core

and of course check your coolant/antifreeze and insure it is full no water no heat

Heater doesn't work

does the blower still work?? Are you waiting long enough for the engine to warm up?? your heat comes from the engine heat. hot coolant (antifreeze) flows through the heater core (like a smaller radiator) behind the dashboard. the blower pulls air through the hot heater core, making the air hot.
If it blows air, but never gets warm, you should first check your coolant. if you drive your car without it, you will have big, expensive engine problems. If there is no coolant or very low coolant, you need to check for leaks after you refill it. (make sure you get the right kind of antifreeze. autozone can help)
most cars that new dont have radiator caps. Instead there is a seperate coolant tank under the hood. fill it to the full mark, let the car run and watch it. It will **** down the coolant from that tank untill the radiator is full.
If you have plenty of coolant, you may need a new thermostat. sometimes they get stuck. some stick open, some stick shut. It is usually easy to change one and they are cheap. I can't help you much with that cuz its different on every car. on my car, I have to crawl under it to get to the thermostat. hope this helps.
