More than likely the lever is frozen inside the door. you'll need to unthaw that lever. once thawed you can spray it with wd40. that should help it from freezing up.

How to remove a 2016 Volvo s60 exterior door handle?

You first remove the plastic cover in under which you find the lock (with keyhole).
secondly, open the door and remove the 15 mm diameter plastic cover near the handle. Insert a long torx scrwdriver(T25 ?) in the
opening and while keeping the door handle "open" (this gives you the possibility to easily replace the handle later) Turn the torx until it stops
(do not use much force). Now you can pull out the metallic lock, peer
out the small white plastic under the door handle and pull out the handle. Do not turn the torx before you have replaced the handle

Rear door will not open on my ford focus ghia t reg

Hi chance are the mechanism inside door jamming. Short of forcing off the inner panel in order to clean lubricate etc I find the best way to get this open is to get someone to keep activating your central locking open and shut while you simply keep trying the door handle at the same time and this can some times just catch the latch in just the right position to get the door open ( you dont need to forcefully be pulling on the handle as the latch will either simply click over on the fine spring latch mechanism or not force is not going to help).
Once and if you manage to get door open take off the inner door card panel and oil lubricate mechanism. rather than then shut door simply use a screw driver on latch to test and worth then working back and forth. If still jamming replace latch.

We had a lot of snow and ice and my daughter forced my drivers side door open. Now its in the locked position. How do I get it to shut?

open the door where the door latches to the body of the car there are jaw like hinges ,pull up on the door handle and take your hand and pull up on the jaws if they wont pull up push them in until they stop then try the handle again this should pop them open once open they should function properly i will suggest to that you spray the jaws with some type of lubricant such as w-d-40 or liquid wrench this will help to keep them from seizing.

2001 frontier tailgate won't open

Remove the inner pannel. Then move the handle the connecting rod from the handle to the lock will move. Then pull or push the connecting rod helping the handle. When you get it open move the handle again if it moves freely then most likely the catch needs adjusting to adjust loosen the screws aroung the catch on the rear pannel move the catch out a little try closing the tailgate if it takes undue force to close then repeat moving the catch out until it is easy to shut simple rule is if it is hard to close then it will be hard to open! Leave the inner pannel off until you can easily open the tailgate with the handle as you may have to give the handle a helping hand to open until you have finished adjusting.

Door locked shut

Many interior panels have additional screws running along the bottom and sides of the panel. They are normally visible and easily accessible when the door is wide open. Compare this first with the right side door of your vehicle.

The key area to look for is any screw that holds the side of the panel. When you remove this (exhausting all patience and guile :-D), you can force off the interior panel rail along the window. The small gap can afford you or an automotive locksmith access to the locking mechanism and open the door.

Hope this helps.

Pull the door panel and verify that the link rod for the door lock is connected to the door lock/unlock actuator, if it is cycle the locks, if nothing happens replace the lock actuator.
