Check your altenator and or battery you can take it straight to an autozone and they will test both battery and altenator for free.thats my guess.try it you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.good luck.

If you turn on the key and lay down on the ground by the gas tank, you should be able to hear the fuel pump come on. if you dont hear it come on, that could be your problem.

Electrical problem on 1996 Dodge Dakota

It will drain at a rate of 21Watts X 2 = 42Watts at 12Volts = 3.5Amps. If you have an 70 Ah battery that is 20hours to totally flat from fully charged.

I was driving & my car just cut off on me &

If the starter is clicking over and not firing, it could be a clogged fuel pump or the fuel pump has gone out. Need more details.

1999 bmw 323i wouldn't jumpstart

No danger involved, just useless. If ONE vehicle won't jump it, there's something drastically wrong with the engine. A charging system will only charge a max of 14 volts when charging a low or dead battery. Over that will hurt something. If you have two vehicles connected to your low battery, there's still only 14 volts going out from them and into yours. There is no reason why one jump vehicle won't charge and start your vehicle. Unless of course the jumped battery is really bad or has a bad/dirty connection. So clean your terminals before a jump. You may not need a jump.

I just acquired a 1996 Odyssey with a starting problem. It will take a jump right away but after driving it and turning off the engine it will not start. The previous owner had the alternator checked and...

doble check the alternator... take it to a different shop or mechanic, check the battery, maybe the battery is dead or it does not storing energy... if it not solve the problem, check for grounded wires, cables....

I brought a new battery and drove it for a couple of days and then it just cut off while driving got a jump and when i parked it it wouldn't start

well it sounds like the alternator is not charging properly. car off at battery there should be at least 12.6 volts. jump start car, when running if alternator is good battery voltage should be 14.2 to 14.6 good-day !!

My daughter has a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24. Yesterday, when she was driving it up a hill, the car wouldn't accelerate even when pushing the gas. She stopped and put it in park for a few seconds...

The cavalier 2.4L engine had a problem with the crank sensor intermittently going bad. Sometimes it will run sluggish for a few minutes or even stall but eventually crank back up and run fine. The sensor is about $30 and can be changed in 10mins. It is located directly above the starter.

sounds like an alternater problem. the batt is not charging and is only running off the batt untill it runs out. check the wires ect on the alt and if that doesnt work, get a salvaged alt.
