Hello,

I searched pep boys, advancedauto and autozone and found no PCV valve listed for your 4.7.

I can say however that the last model Jeep (WJ) with the 4.7 had a PCV valve (cuz I owned one), and yes it was on the side of the engine.

You may also like to know that 4.0 (ZJ) Jeeps dont have PCV valves as well (cuz I owned 2) however the V8 (ZJ) V8s do have one (cuz I owned the rare 5.9).

Hope this helps.

I have a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee limited with a 4.7 V8 HO. Do have to put a 4.7 V8 HO engine back in it or can I just put a regular 4.7 V8 in it?

the HO is a high output version of the 4.7. the differences are internal, the externals *should* be the same.

to be sure, though, call an auto parts store and ask them if the 4.7 regular and 4.7 HO use the same MAIN SEAL. this sill ensure that the regular 4.7 will fit a 4.7 HO transmission, as the main seal comes between the back of the engine and the front of the transmission.

1996 jeep cherokee is hard to start

The best place i have found to get parts at low cost is a salvage yard. I did the same thing on my 88 Comanche and the only place i found the parts where at a salvage or junkyard.

My pcv valve seems to be stuck I have twisted pulled and even accidentally twin parts off trying to get the old pcv valve out any suggestions??

If your is like my 1995 jeep, it was mounted on top of the valve cover. I had to order from the auto parts store, a new grommet that holds the pcv in place. When I got the new one in, I cut out the old grommet, and pcv valve. Over a period of time, they will kind of melt together. It was a very cheap fix. and I'm sure there are no leaks. Hope this helps

04 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 v8. I changed 7 spark plugs with ngk plugs could not get to the 8th passenger side firewall plug. engine seems to missfire upon startup for 30 seconds or less then runs smooth...

Change the pcv valve this will cause problems. You can get the eighth plug, put the socket on the plug and use a wrench that fits the socket to get it loose or out. It's a pain but necessary.
