Question about Chevrolet Tahoe
Ok im a little confused. You said fuel pump relay is not picking up. Do you mean it is not engaging ( clicking)? If so then if you replaced it you should check to see if power is coming to your relay. The relay has two power sources; one is a constant source that is used when the relay is closed. The other is a power source that turns on a magnetic field that closes the other side of the relay. That is the clicking noise you hear. So when you say you close the relay im assuming you use a jumper wire and connect it from one end to the other and bypass the relay to turn the fuel pump on. Find a multimeter and turn it to volts and connect the ends of the multimeter to the side of the relay that is the magnetic field and check for voltage. you will have to take the relay out and stick the ends of the multimeter where the relay plugs in. To find which side the magnetic field is on you can go to alldatadiy.com and purchase a manual for the car or sometimes the relay has a picture on the back with numbers that tell you which side the magnetic coil is on. the picture of the magnetic coil looks like a curly pigs tail and the other side will have a picture with a line that is split with one side of the line open at an angle. connect it to that side and see if there is 12 volts on it when you turn the engine over. If not then you have a broken wire or possibly a fuse blown
