Here are some causes for a bad coolant sensor-- rich running engine, increased vehicle emissions, engine shutdowm. if the sensor is bad, then when at normal tempurature the sensor is sending incorrect info to pcm. this sensor controls fuel and various functions. it is used to send correct info to pcm. so to compensate for engine management. have a good day !! have it scanned to find problem code. if check engine light is on.
