Question about 1996 Ford F150 Regular Cab
Unfortunately it comes off the back of the hub
so you must first remove the hub cap then the locking mechanism, then the bolt inside the hub ( a special tool is required plus there are a two well hidden c clips inside)
then the hub can be removed with the disk attached
flip over the assembly and support by the disk
with a piece of wood as a buffer and a good sized hammer press out the hub from the disc. (by taping sharply around the hub it will release from the disk)
assembly is the revers
it can be done with patience and a medium skill level
however I will gladly pay a mechanic the next time I have to do it. If you can afford it take this one to a shop I work on my cars for enjoyment, this was not.
Once I got into it, it was to late to change my mind with out a tow truck.
