Question about 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
This problem usually relates to the blower motor resistor. you will find it on passenger side of vehicle below glove box. depending on style you may need to remove a hush panel to gain access to it it will have a 5 wire plug and two wires going to blower motor. check the plug and make sure it is not melted or corroded in any way if so replace it as well
