My 1998 Land Rover engine fan won't shut off

Sounds like a relay. The contacts will melt together and stick. It must be receiving battery power as apposed to ignition switch power. Locate and pull the relay most likely it's under the hood. If that does it you could further diagnose by opening the relay as it's possible your temp sensor wire is unplugged but that usually only will cause it to run if PCM/ECM is powered on. You may have an identical relay that you could swap with to verify it is the relay and not the control circuit at fault.

Can I get a spark plug wiring diagram for a 1998 land rover range rover 4.0 V8? I can't find anything by googling it..

There is a single High Tension Lead that goes from the spark plug cap to the coil pack.

Or do you mean firing order from coil pack to plugs? Which wire goes from what cylinder to which coil?

Hi, I have a 1998 Range Rover P38 and it takes up to 4 cranks to start the engine when cold. After the vehicle is warmed up it starts after the first crank. Any idea what the problem may be?

Hi Servo, Try replacing the temperature which sends signals to the computer. Seems you have a problem with the cold start system which is controlled from that sensor. Regards John

1998 range rover p38 2.5 dse auto engine stalls

Sounds like something is overheating then and possibly a sensor. Not familiar with Rovers but might be a problem with the CAS and/or CPS which tells the ECU the motor is running and when to fire. Also maybe the IAC is bad and when you go from throttle to idle it can't control it and allows it to die.

Range rover 4.6 v8 loosing oil but no oil leak?

Hi if you park your car on a level surface do you have any patches on the floor?
If you do then it would point to Front or rear main seal. However it is a very common fault on 4.0l and especialy 4.6l to crack piston rings. The sumptoms are high oil useage and mostly no trace of oil leak and normaly no signs of smoking either.
Thanks Rob.
