Normally if the indicator is going faster than it has before it is telling you that you have a bulb out on that particular side. if it blinks normal on the right but not the left, then the bulb is out on the left side and visa-versa. This happens because the resistance that the power goes through is no longer through twp bulbs, but only one. So it's cut in half and will make the flasher work twice as fast. Hope this helps.
