Question about Kia Sorento LX
I agree, the plastic pin on mine was broken under the rubber on the door jamb switch. But I would check the wiring behind it also. Easy to pull off with a Philips large head screwdriver.
Cheap fix..$3 or $4.

yes most likely the switch or the wire behind it in the door frame.
