First thing you are going to have to do is open the hood, boot, so you can get to the battery. If you can't get to the battery or the alternator there is nothing you can do. The Hood, boot, is a manual release not electronic and should you be unfortunate enough to have a battery located in the Storage area, trunk area, you can always use the key to open it. Based on the terms you used I have to assume you are in Europe so once you get to the battery try jumping the vehicle, if the vehicle starts and runs then the problem is most likely the battery, if it starts but dies once you disconnect the jumper cables the problem is the alternator or charging system. I don't know where you could get manuals on your vehicle in Europe other than on line. Haynes and Chilton's make some excellent manuals that could assist you in finding the actual problem if it is the Alternator or Charging system.

You need to gain access to the car and remove the rear seat. Next to the battery is the PSE pump, remove the pipe marked "halt" and blow down it real hard. That will pop the boot open.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Have you tried replacing the battery? If not, then now is a good time. Can you tell me more of the problem?

Thanks!

Use the cars ignition key, insert into lock next to boot/trunk manual release. NB lean on boot/truck lid as you turn key otherwise you run risk of breaking the key. Boot will open.

Walked away from car and apparently left indicators on beacause R headlight and R tailight still on. Thought they would go out. Came back to car 8 hours later lights still on battery appeared dead. Locked...

hmmm i would imagine you may be able to open boot with key ??? all you need to do is get to the bonnet release so you can replace battery... any door would do.but if you are unable to get any door to open this brings a whole new problem... if battery is dead it may be harder to turn key as actuators on the door would have to be manually wound over.... turn the key with a bit more force then normal but not to much because you dont want to snap the key... best of luck if i can help more please just reply to this comment... cheers

Tailgate failure on honda accord tourer 2004

Maybe a little late here but i have a fix for this after turning down my dealers generous offer of a 750gbp fix i did some extensive googling and found this.... With your ignition on open the tailgate using the catch inside then turn off ignition and disconnect the battery for a minute. Reconect the battery and turn on ignition and let the warning lights go through their cycle. With the ignition still on shut the tailgate and hey Presto should be as good as new.
