Question about 2005 Honda CR-V

1 Answer

Error code Hi there I have bought this honda cr-v 2005, 2.4L about two months back and it was transported by the moving company to labrador from ontario. They may have disconnected the power and the cd player/radio/tape is asking for the code which i dont have, there is nothing in the manual, there is 6 digit code on the glove compartment which its not accepting as there has to be 5 digits. i did not get any other info with this vehicle. Now i am wondering how to get the code to run my cdplayer as its been weeks with out it. The dealer says to bring the vehicle which is about 7 hours drive from labrador city.If I get the seriel number from radio, will it be of help. I called customer relations honda canada and they are of no help. PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks

When you purchased your crv, you should have received a little security card with 5 digits on it. It's the only way to unlook your Radio.

Ii advise you to get a back leak test and fuel rail pressure check by expert,

How to reset the radio code of my 2007 Honda CR-V?

You have the wrong code. Hold preset buttons #1 & #6 down, turn on radio. Keep holding down buttons, record 1st 4, then 2nd 4, of radio serial number. Either register your car on-line with Honda to get the code or go to a Honda dealer.

How to erase error e on the radio and enter code for the radio?

Check your owners manual for code, service tech would have written it in. Check front pages of owners manual or service log. Or contact dealer for code.

Lost battery power need code for radio

Hello,

I see this went unanswered for awhile, and you may already have fixed your problem, but you need to call Honda with the serial number of the stereo (found on back of stereo) in order to get the code. It is not the smartest move by Honda.

I hope this helps!

I bought a 2002 Honda CR-V and the battery died. We have fixed the battery and now the radio is locked because we don't know the code. Please help.

the only way to fix this is by obtaining a code from the radio manufacture, or possibly honda when u call the dealership have your vin# handy. they will need it to acesess your code. this info is free of charge from both Honda and the radio manufacturer.

Error 7 on 2005 Honda CRV Radio

I had the same issue with the radio code error lock on a 2005 CRV. I was unaware of the code procedure and had locked the radio in the "ERROR E" mode. I was able to unlock the radio by pulling the #9 back up fuse located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. This reset the radio to CODE which then allowed me to input the 5 digit number which I had in my glove box along with my owner's manual. I am happy to report I now have a working radio/ CD player.
