Question about 2004 Porsche Cayenne

1 Answer

I have a 2006 porsche cayenne S and I intalled a RF modulator so it can take over the a frequency on the FM band so that we can plug in another audio device, I posted a message before and got a simple and logical answer. my question now refers to the fact that im courious where the radio might be comunicating with the CCU so that I can by pass it and emable the modulator. or is there any possibility that the CCU might have ben damaged due to the alteration we made to the radio. the power was taken from the accesory lead in the back of the radio (in order to have it come off withthe rest of the accesories) the ground was taken from the antenas ground (witch has been our source for ground it a bunch of aplications) the antenna was the only thing that was phisitally cut to acomodate the input and out put of the modulator.

Shouldnt have cut the aerial cable ,ground not a problem but the actual middle core cable ?? you are feeding a radio signal so only needed to tape the output from the appliance to the areial cable not join it ,now somethjing has burnt out thats for sure

How do i tune Mazda Demio (2004 model) radio to Southern African frequencies?

fm frequencies are just that fm frequencies ( not japanese, chinese ,english or anything else
it is a range of frequencies in the fm band that local stations broadcast on
so all you have to do is to turn the tuner knob until you get 107 fm
so as you turn the knob you will loose 89 and it will go probably 90.5 , 100.20, 102.7 etc and if there is a station broadcasting that your radio will pick up it will come in and then fade out as you keep moving the knob
you may have to change the mode as there are fm 1 ,fm 2,fm 3 bands to get your fm 107 as it will depend on what megahertz 107 is operating on

My cayenne s

This could actually be a fault in the quite a few different modules.
It could be the centre console buttons, or even the main module.
Unfortunately you need to get VAG-COM or VCDS to see the error codes.
I used a Ross-Tech cable and determined the issue was a failed module.
Any VW, Audi or Porsche service place can connect in and see what the car is reporting.

But this may be best to let Porsche run diagnostics.
Also if it is a module, dealerships tend to have to replace them.
As second hand modules have a CP protection lock on them.

It might be related to the power steering pump, I had a similar problem and bled the system and topped up with fluid and it solved it.
