The check balls I put back in were slightly larger. You should be able to get them from any transmission shop or the Chevy dealer. I got my gasket from the Chevy dealer.

SOURCE: 1992 geo metro cranks but does not start. Will

You might want to see if the timing belt might have jumped. If you getting gas and spark it should of fired.Try this Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank on it for a few.By doing this you shut off fuel flow to motor and it tries to burn what has been injected.Don't let off of the pedal or make sure to press down before cranking.Maybe it flooded it self by cranking slow..If car still does not start after cranking the motor over a few times spay some starting fluid into the intake or throttle body and try to start. If fires and misses back fires has a slow pedal response its more than likely the timing belt....

SOURCE: someone put Dexron 2 automatic transmission fluid

I do not think it will. Besides, you have no other choice. The longer you keep running it with the a/t fluid, the worse it will be.
I ran my car without fluid in the differential and I really had to pay the consequences.
My A/T differential calls for A/T fluid, but I used manual trans. fluid for a while(15W90). That was 2 years ago, and the car still runs fine. Now i put the A/T reccomended fluid.
As long as you have some type of lubricant where metal grinds metal, ir is way better than nothing.
Note. what I mean is that you should use the reccomended fluid, but if you used another lubricant, it is not the end of the world.
hope this helps

92 geo metro with automatic transmission will not go out of 1st gear sometimes

my guess is its not electric shifted, (what trans model is it)
so step 2 in the FSM book says.... and i paraphrase
step1 is stall test (my guess passes in 1st and reverse)
step 2, line pressure test?
if that fails, tranny is bad.

1996 geo metro ****** problem wont move unless it is reved up real hi andthen it only moves alittle bit

Had the same problem with ours. If you're not mechanically inclined, this is a total job for a qualified mechanic. Assuming this is an automatic transmission, first thing I would check is the transmission dipstick. If you see any signs of metallic particles, then chances are your transmission is ruined, and look for about a $1000 - $2000 repair bill. It could also be the torque converter, which is a cheaper fix, but still kinda pricey.

Where is the "Fill" plug for 1992 Geo Storm 5 speed transmission?

Should be behind the driver side wheel on the side of the transmission a few inches above where your CVC joint snaps in the transmission.
