How to unlock your car stereo, Mercedes Audio 10 stereo ... I had already phoned my local Mercedes dealer for the radio codeof my ML270, .... Mercedes Benz Car Stereo Removal and Repair 1994-1999 - Duration: 4:00. by ...
Before removal if it is a factory unit a main franchised dealer should have the code, if not there are companies who recode them for a small fee. Cheaper than a new unit.
the key remote may just need resetting , your owners manual should give details how this is done , if you hav,nt got the manual google search for an online owners manual , this will be infinitely less costly than going to a mercedes dealer, this may or may not work but it is the best place to start , with regards to the radio, fitting is a very straight forward procedure and made easier if a wiring connection is also purchased for your particular vehicle , these are very inexpensive and are readily available online or in any motor accessory shop , save time and money as just plug into vehicles wiring then the radioe no need to connect each wire seperately , installing a radio with the new wiring loom would take no more than one hour ,probably less so get a quote and ask what their hourly rate is , hope this helps
Take the car to the Mercedes dealer and they should have the radio code in their files. Check that it is not written in any books you received when you got the car
There are no web sites to get a radio code, there is only one place to get this code and that is the dealer, you already have the serail # so you dont have to remove radio to get it. all you need to do is go to the dealer with the cars registration and your id and that will give you the code right on the spot, i deal with the dealer on these problems, but will be up front i only get codes for customers in our shop due to not know if radio is stolen, the dealer will run serail # and cross with the vin to get a code to unlock radio, doesnt take long at all.some will try to charge you just ask for the manger, all they do is use the computer to get and takes them 2min to get it.
This is a costly item. To buy the radio is about 450 dollars and then to have it installed is another ?. That is all the dealer is going to do is put in another one.
all you have to do is to call the parts department at your nearest mercedes benz dealer and give them the vin number of your car and the serial number on the radio and they will give you the code, some dealers may ask you to bring the car to them but they will charge you, that is good to do if you don't know how to remove the radio of the car which i believe in that model is by inserting four pins in the holes that the radio has at each corner and the radio pulls out easy. You can buy this keys that are u shaped at any autoparts in the car stereo section and should cost you no more than $5.00 dollars they are supposed to be for Ford cars but they work for Mercedes Benz as well. The dealer should give you the code for free and they will tell you how to enter it on the radio so that is the best inexpensive way to fix it so good luck with your car and please let me know how it went.
