Plug wires could be crossed. Check firing order cast onto intake manifold, and compare to rotation of distributor. Or find same type car and compare plug wire location.

93 talon tsi getting fuel and spark car cranks but wont start

I would try making sure spark plug wires are put on in the correct firing order. This is a common mistake in tune ups. Most intake manifolds have the firinging order cast in. Plug gaps correct? I cant come too far away.

lossen your beather tube do not take off use a screwdriver to open it enough to spray a little bit of either. Then try to start right away if it tries to start your fuel pump in the tank is possible or fuel filter. If it ndoesn't even try pull a spark plug wire put a screw drive in it and hold it near a part connected to the motor have someone turn the key look for and arc no arc tune-up with coil pak if it has one if it doesn't remove the distributor cap without pulling any wires off have someone turn the key see if the rotor turns if not maybe timing chain or belt not sure which your car has try these things 1st

Transmission issues trouble shifting

Pay someone to figure it out, lots of things can cause this, may not be in the trans. Could be a engine problem, vacuum leak, tune up, sensor or intake/throttlebody problem. Check the transmission fluid, if it is black or brown or low, that will get you started.

My car wont start, its not battery, just had tune

Is it acting like its out of gas. Also is it turning over but not starting. are u getting spark from ur spark plugs. When it was tuned up did the shopmess up the firing order of the distributor especially its a newer car. it could be teh fuel pump, filter etc. if its one of those its usually back by the tank. Also to see if ur getting spark u can pull a spark plug out plug it into one of the wires and set the spark plug on part of the engine and have someone turn it over u will see spark out of the end of it if u dont then thats ur problem. also it may be a relay. Overall u will want a manual so it can be pinpointed better also run some codes on it if u know how to.

Did a tune up now truck wont crank

Are you sure you have the firing order correct? Pull the cap and follow the traces I know #1 and 4 are on the opposite of what it looks like on the outside of the cap there may be others the same way

300ZX wont start, or crank for nothing

The car seems to have functioning parts but it is probably a wiring issue - have you done a heater core replacement or anything under the dash/hood in a while (other than "tapping on the starter" <-- which you shouldnt do by the way)

what year is it??

if it is a 1990 the car has a plug undone under the driver side steering column on the "security" and "ignition" wiring circuit - read your FSM (factory service manual) and diagnose the problem. it is definately a short somewhere!

Wont start security light stays on

My girlfriend had the same problem, so we took it to the local dealer in Costa Mesa, CA and were told she needed a new engine to the tune of 5K. We decided to take it to our local mechanic and he discovered that the “ignition control box”, which apparently has the antitheft controls too and shuts the flow of gas to the engine because it thinks its being stolen when it malfunctions, was causing the starting problem. Once, the box was replaced it worked fine. Because the IBC controls antitheft, it will need to be “reprogrammed” be someone that has access to the proper equipment or the dealer. I think the whole thing was about $800 - $900. Sure beats $5,000

Hope this helps,

Car takes a while to start

A tune up might be in order. By tune up I mean spark plugs, Distrubtor cap and rotor button and plug wires. I would also check the timing and replace the fuel filter.
