95 mustang 3.8l standard has a few different problems. 1) the car will shake when it shifts through gears its an automatic sometimes lil sometimes alot. mostly only when shifting about 45mph. 2) the temp gauge suddenly went to the far right and buried the needle now even before i start it. The next day the gas gauge randomly moves up and down. 3) i cant fill the tank all the way with gas or i lose about a 1/4 tank of fuel from it leaking and spilling has anyone encountered this problem if so was it the filler neck or the tank somewhere? i dont have a place to drop it.

I sounds like you have an electrical problem with the dashboard. It will have to be pulled and checked.

I had the same problem with the gas tank on my 95 mustang. You are going to have to drop the tank. There is a rubber seal where the filler neck goes into the gas tank that has failed and must be replaced. You are losing even more gas than you think. Everytime you make a left turn gas is sloshing out through that bad seal.

Check for a possible cold start injector problem or a possible motor or transmission mount that is loose or broken.

My 95 f250 gets stuck in gear with a high reave after I go over 50 mph. so when i slow down it wants to keep going. were should I start looking

Hey man, i would start with your trans, if its sticking in gear i would suggest changing the fluid. If it is an automatic changing the fluid and filter will help the trans shift smoother. If it is a manual changing the gear oil will help. If that doesnt seem to help LUCAS makes a few different trans products for manual or auto that will help shifting and recondition the seals in your trans, its available at any local parts store. If the problem continues after doing all of this you should think about taking to a shop for an inspection. hope that is helpfull.

My 95 mustang runs good but sometimes the shift of gears races. then runs fine. and tranny was just rebuilt

if its an auto then i would take a look at the torque converter. if its a manual then clutch is probably responsable. good luck.

It does not shift from 2 to the 3 gear in a 95 mustang ford automatic transmisson rpm go very high

HI, this is a defective control solenoid. have it replaced asap. it is located inside the trans pan. this will require you to drain the trans fluid as well. the control solenoid runs directly into the valve body.

It would be cheaper in the Long run for you to Rebuild yours and have a B&M Shift Kit Installed for the Kick in Shifting that you want. You might even think about Installing a Hypertech Performance Chip after the Rebuild. This will help with the Power, Air Fuel Radio, And Shift Patterns. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
