Is there a pulley to loosen or move to install the belt? I need help in installing the belt on my 99 suzuki esteem?

Okay, if I loosen the motor mount bolts up front and lift the motor, do you still have to loosen a pulley or something to install the belt?

Remove the belt as follows. You will need to jack the car up and place it on jack stands to be safe.
Using a 14MM wrench, you will push on the tensioner pulley towards the firewall of the car. The belt will be free to pull off. Route the new belt across all the pulleys and again push on the tensioner pulley until the belt is in place.

Whats the procedure for removing and installing a altanator

Well first unconnect the battery, Loosen the "Slacker" and remove the belt. Unbolt the alternator and replace it the same way. Take a picture of or draw a diagram on where the belt acually goes if your replacing that too. I always replace the belt while i am doing something like that.
Please leave a good comment on me on here.

I just replaced the battery on my 1999 Suzuki Esteem wagon. How can I test if the alternator is working properly?

Your car has a warning light for the alternator, for one.and most of your garages will test your alternator for free if you are their customer. If your alternator is working properly the alternator light on the dash will light when you start the car and then go out all the while the motor is running.
