Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
If this happens, you should see a display in your dash. Either check engine, engine fault, gear fault, etc. The X type has many electrical sensors and grounds. You really need a diagnostic tool that will specify the problem. If you don't have one, take it to a mechanic to give you a diagnostic reading. They ussually charge $25. Then after the report, if your capable of taking on the task, do it. If not, as for the estimate from that mechanic and the guarantee.
