I wish to check the tightness of the rear suspension top mounts and it looks like the rear seat might need to come out in order to reach them. If so, can you advise the best way to do this.

remove covers in boot behind seat there are mounting brackest there hopfully not rusted take off bolts remove brackets remove filler pipe but getting it out is a carry on as its a tight fit may need to remove back seat as well
this is dangerous, you shoud have all the subframe bushes checkedby a garage asap also get your tyres checked! subframe buses wear out and the subframe moves left and right, at speed it is more noticeable hope this helps
look all the way to the back of that toward the rear of the motor... you should have some access to the drain plug... if there is no access you need to purchase the socket that will fit that... likely a torq type.
if the rear suspension cage to body mountings are in good condition 4 of them , and the radius arm bushes are ok it should be ok however worth checking for play in rear hub bearings and hub carrier fulcrum bearings
