Question about 2004 Jaguar XJR-Series
I wish to check the tightness of the rear suspension top mounts and it looks like the rear seat might need to come out in order to reach them. If so, can you advise the best way to do this. Many Thanks
If this is the same system as the earlier XJ40`s you access the rear shocks from unerneath.
The lower mount is simply a large (30mm-ish) nut & bolt thru the lower arm front to back, the top mount is held up by 4 small (13mm-ish) bolts going up into the rear floor.
They are then carefully fiddled out sideways & each must be refitted the same way round (the mounts are angled but mark them before removing).
