When you say that you can't open the door, do you mean that the key will not turn. If this is the case, is the outside temp below freezing?

SOURCE: the battery in my VW key fob is dead, now I cant start the engine

No. VW has made it nearly impossible to solve any key-related problems without a costly visit to the dealership. Battery must be replaced, and I assure you. the dealership will advise you that the ONLY place that you can find that particular battery is from the dealership. They like it that way.

SOURCE: cant get in car to pop hood, dead battery key hole jammed!!

at this point you have 2 options, 1, go to a parts store and get a jimmy kit that helps you break into the car by unlocking the door, whicch sometimes can be tricky or if you have aaa they will unlock it for you for free, 2, you would have to reach from underneath and feel around for the cable, folow it to the latch assembaly and carefully release the latch assembaly, this way wil be very difficult and a tight area.
Good Luck.

Posotive can be found in hood driver side next to fuse box. It is a small rectangle box. You can hook negative to any solid ground on the car.

SOURCE: i have a 2004 range rover and the key wont unlock

did you try to turn the key in the key barrel? is the key rotating accordingly? does it stop? if it doesn't stop rotating then means barrel got damaged and your Remote key FOB lost it's programming before that. so you should have your spare key if this is the case otherwise you'll end up to break 1 of the glasses to have your car opened. let me know more details and i'll come back to you if i can help

The battery on my range Rover is dead n now I cant unlock my car..I cant use a key because somebody tried to brake in to it now theres no key whole.how doni unlock the doors. wat should I do

Your friendly neighbourhood car thief would have the door open fairly quickly, probably by smashing a window.

An auto locksmith or a competent mechanic or even a finance recovery expert would also be able to open your car, though with a little more finesse.

How I can unlock my Range Rover HSE if the battery is dead?

you cant be serious? What no key? (if you mean the battery in your key is dead you can still open your drivers door with it you just put it in the lock and turn) if you get the bonnet open just jump another battery, otherwise im sure you can get your local workshop or car thief to open it for you. Please come back with more information and I will try to help you further.

Unfortunately, there is a trick to replacing the battery.
1) Open the Driver side door.
2) Open the Bonnet and take the battery cover off.
3) Use your remote to lock and unlock the car (keeping the driver side door open)
4) Pull the Negative Lead from the battery first, followed by the Positive Lead.
5) Change or replace with charged battery.
6) Closed down Bonnet.
7) Your windows, sunroof, and key FOB will not work... so follow the next steps.

7a) Insert your key, with door closed into the exterior lock on driver's side.
7b) While turning the key to lock the door, hold down the "lock" button on your remote for 5 seconds while in "lick" position

1996 4.0 Range Rover won't unlock

This car is in super lock mode... when you press remote 2times to lock or when you lock with remote and try to unlock using key manually.

there is a 4 digit number to open the door, its like opening a safe, starting from the left(key in car door) it goes L/R/L/R. so if number code is 1234..... left 1, right 2, left 3, right 4.

or if this too troublesome you can ask landrover dealer to remove the KEYCODE.

happy trying.....
