Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck

1 Answer

I have a 2001 Dodge ram 2500 gas 360 cube. My fan switch works on the high setting for the blower. If you turn to any of the 3 remaining lower speeds it shuts the blower off completly. Are there any other fuses or resistors. If so where are they located. Checked all the ones i could find all looked good.

Yes, there is one under the hood on the heater box. It has a plug going directly into it (5/6 prongs I think). The plugs have a reputation for going bad as well as the resistor. For some reason they overheat and melt. You can unplug it and make a diagram of where the wires on the plug go, cut it off, and wire them individually. Or, you can locate a salvage yard that might still have one left. As well as the resistor. I hope I've helped. If so please rate my assistance and leave a testimonial.

Blower fan only works on high. Dodge Ram pickup 2001. I would guess its the blower switch. If it is, where is it so I may fix it?

I agree it is most likely the blower switch. It is attached to the knob you turn to select the speed :) Best of luck!

Air conditioning and heater blower only works on high setting, what has happened to 3 slower speeds?

Replace your blower resistor, usually located on firewall under hood on passenger side, or under dash on passenger side, up under on ducting.
