The cam belt may be worn has jumped a tooth. The cam belt should be replaced every 60,000 miles. This is an interference engine and as such if the belt breaks you will have serious engine damage. You may also have a bad cam position sensor. Have this looked into ASAP by a professional.

I replaced both head gaskets and have no power, popping noises, and engine stalls out.

P1340 the code definition is camshaft sensor "B" circuit malfunction. If this was "A" then its the camshaft sensor, Your problem may reside in the ion sensor,The purpose of the ion sensing is to measure electrical resistance when they are not firing, This means you need to be sure of the correct sparkplugs P1340 when I see this it means wrong sparkplugs

p1340 means camshaft sensor is out of adjustment and the engine timing belt jumped a tooth.
make sure the #1 piston is at TDC(top dead center) and camshaft sprochet mark to corresponding mark. dont let the sprochet moves when installing timing belt.

I had obcd2 and actron scanners both same code p1340 how do i know witch ones right and what it take to fix it without costing a arm or leg if you could help me out i would appreciate it. thanks

The P1340 fir Isuzu has to do with the ION SENSING MODULE. I have the same code on a 2001 Rodeo. From what I've seen online, the best place to start is checking the plugs and replacing them if they're in rough shape (many posts suggest you need to stick with the original Denso plugs - I'm buying a set tonight in hopes of getting this inspected and selling it). I hope this helps you. Good luck!
