Headlight problem hatchback, replace highlight bulb drivers side

I can get to the bulb for the highlight on the drivers side but am unable to remove it. I am female with a slim hand and I struggle to get a proper grip due to obstructions, so I guess there may be a tool I need. Strong tweezers did not help.

Hi. You may wanna remove some additional accesories that may obstruct your way to the light bulb. usually these are locaated in front of the battery, so you need to disconnect and remove it and change the bulb.

How to change head light bulb, drivers side, 2006 Saab 9-7X

Easiest way is to stick your hand in front of the battery and take the dust cover off, twist the bulb and done. I'm lucky, have smaller hands! lol, If you can't get to it, remove the battery for easy access.
The passenger side requires removal of the aircleaner box.

How to change brake light bulbs

You don't say where the brake lights are? I know this seems a stupid answer but the Disco has had them in various places in various years. If they are in the bumper then access them by removing the lens.
If they are in the lamps on the body side then access them through the trim panel in the side of the load bay. Good luck with that because you will need small hands and considerable patience. Remove the appropriate bulb holder with a twist and pull. A more stupid design you will struggle to find!!
Get a cup of coffee and don't expect to do it in 5 mins unless you are a past master of the Disco.

REPLACEING HEADLIGHT IN ML350

Not sure if you need to replace the entire lens assembly or just a hid bulb. The Assembly is easy to remove with only 3 10mm bolts. The bulbs are all accessible from the back but the drivers side is a bit snug if you have larger hands. Most guys pull the assembly to give easy access to everything. Any of this is definitely a DIY that should take under 20 minutes both sides. If you need to replace bulbs buy a pair and replace both sides not just one. When you update this with what needs to be done then we can get your proper instructions

Need to replace low beam headlamps on 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.

For the passenger side- need to remove the air cleaner top and move the air cleaner out of the way. You can now access the rubber covers that protect the bulbs.

For the Drivers side, just stick, your hand down behind the headlight and remove the rubber cover.

Remember, do not touch the new bulbs, the oil from our hands will burn a hold in the bulb.

My driver's side low beem keeps shorting out. Took out bulb, cleaned off rust. It came on briefly, then went out again. Filiment in bulb is OK. Any suggestions? Thanks Suff

"Rust" is your key word. The female plug probably has rust in it or is now too rusty to operate properly. I would suggest you replace that plug with a new one. Also don't forget to use "shrink tubing" on the wires to ensure they are protected from the elements.

Cobalt 2005 ls headlight bulb replacement

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • 9007 LL halogen headlight bulb
  • Wrench
  • Gloves or clean rag
  1. Step 1 Set the parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition to ensure your Chevy Cobalt won't roll while you're replacing the headlight bulb.
  2. Step 2 Open the hood by pulling the hood release latch located under the instrument panel on the driver's side of the car. Locate the secondary release latch on the front of the hood at the center, slightly towards the driver's side. Slide the latch to the left to release the hood and raise it.
  3. Step 3 Locate the headlight assembly and remove the bolts by turning them counterclockwise. Set the bolts aside in a safe place, so you won't misplace them.
  4. Step 4 Remove the plastic fasteners from the headlight assembly molding. Carefully pull back the front fascia, or molding. You may need an extra pair of hands to perform this slightly awkward task.
  5. Step 5 Grab the headlight assembly and pull it towards the radiator at a slight angle to remove it. This should provide easier access to the headlight bulb and wiring harness.
  6. Step 6 Lift the plastic locking tab on the wiring harness to disconnect the bulb base. Then, disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb socket and remove the black retainer by turning it counterclockwise.
  7. Step 7 Disconnect the bulb socket by turning it counterclockwise. Remove the old bulb from the socket by firmly, but gently pulling it straight out.
  8. Step 8 Replace the old bulb with a new 9007 LL halogen headlight bulb. Put your headlight assembly back together by reversing the steps when you disassembled it. Use 89 inch-lb torque when retightening the headlight assembly

2008 buick lecerne headlight replacement bulbs can't remove assembly

Buick says that the front bumper has to be removed in order to remove the headlight assembly. Crazy, I know.. I found that you can remove the air filter box on the drivers side and squeeze your hand in a small hole to replace that bulb. The passanger side is nearly impossible. You can remove to nuts holding the fuse block in place and move it over a little and squeeze your hand in a little hole and reach it. Plan on two to three hours to change one bulb.

How do you replace the low beam bulb on the passenger side?

front the back of the units from the engine compartment. it ids usualy easiest if you remove the light unit if you are unable to squeeze your hand back there. Make sure that you put in the proper type of bulb. Also, when you change one bulb and not the other, you may notice a difference in color from one side to the other, depending on how different the bulb types are.

good luck, hope this helps

Open the trunk and locate the trim door that covers the back of the drivers side tail light assembly. Open the door and locate the bulb holder. The bulb holder can be removed from the tail light assembly housing by turning counter clockwise 1/4 turn. Holding the bulb holder in one hand, press gently on the bulb and turn then bulb counter clockwise to remove. Replace with a combo bulb and reverse proceedure to re-install.
