Question about 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
I own the 2004 Chevy Trailblazer EXT LS 4WD 5.3L V-8 162000 original miles. Every year I make it a point to change the fluids on not only the transfer case but also my differential as well.
I only use GM fluids as to insure trouble free performance. One of the major reasons owners of Trailblazers have issues is lack of scheduled maintenance. Invest in a Haynes repair guide....way better than the original manual that only offers general solutions. Taking a pro active attitude will help avoid problems and get many years out of your Trailblazer.

Your transmission/transfer case needs to be flushed and the fluid replaced along with any needed screens or filters that are recommended by GM.
Your owners manual should have info on the manufacturers reccomendations.
